To paraphrase the judges response to his immunity request;Trump has had his request to delay his Stormy Daniels hush money case until SCOTUS rules on his immunity claim in the Jan 6th case rejected. Quite right too.

He can't go into elections with it already having been revealed he is skint never mind and fines and convictions being handed down. Appeals can delay the latter but the former being known and bailiffs starting to close doors and lock him out of his own properties in lieu of him stumping up cash will kill his ego and campaign

It’s because the surety firm has to provide current year financial statements proving they are good for the money, but “Knight Specialty Insurance” didn’t give the court anything. This firm Trump is using is basically a car loan financing company who will have no experience of the process.
On current deadlines that means he has one day left to fix it. Unless he gets some kind of administrative extension.

I'd seen something about the financial statement too - just hadn't worked out where it fitted in.
It didn't seem to be an issue with deadlines, as you say, just more incompetence.
