You're a little gaggle of teenage dweebs on an Internet forum. The atmosphere at city has got nothing to do with you. Drop this now because you're making fools of yourselves.
I knew it would get a lot of stick, but I didn't realise people felt so strongly about keeping our shit atmosphere. It's not just you Dave but if people are happy with what we've got now then that's fine but let's not try and put people off who are only trying to improve it.
I don't see what the problem is in people wanting to create a decent atmosphere. Stay out of it if you arn't interested and let the people who are up for it get on with it.
...
And I arn't a teenage dweeb.
The atmosphere will be improved by people SINGING. You're making the shocking error with confusing noise with atmosphere.
People singing City songs = atmosphere.
People banging a drum = noise.
I don't care what Dortmund/Aris/Poznan do . They're from a different football culture. If you want a 'better' atmosphere then SING MORE.
Why Always Ste said:A drum is being talked about for use with The Citizens Movement.
This group's main aim is to try and implement European style atmosphere like we've seen at The Etihad with the likes of Aris, Poznan, and more recently Borussia Dortmund.
Most of the teams will use a Drum(s) but this drum is usually more rhythmic and used with the sole intention of keeping a song going.
Rather than being the main force behind a song, and heard all over the ground (like at Wigan) the drum will work with your voice...
if there's no singing you'll rarely hear the drum.
This drum will not be the main piece of generating noise, like you have heard at the likes of Wigan Athletic/Blackburn/Bolton and with the band at England Games.
We will be trialling the use of the drum at a forthcoming Next-Gen Series game against Juventus at Ewen Fields, Hyde.
Thursday 8th November. Kick off is 7:00pm
please be there 30mins earlier so we can get organised.
The rehearsals will be completely this - rehearsals.
Mistakes will be made, but this is how we can progress and start to improve atmosphere.
We won't be in The Etihad, but this is the solution:
If you want to sing & be colourful come along to this and we can then group all the singers together and create a wall of sound and colour...Just like many other European clubs do.
if you are not for this, don't turn up. Simples.

Dave, why is age an issue? because of one's age they have no right to a voice on an issue which they feel passionate about?
I'm not a teenage dweeb on an internet forum btw, just looking at ways to improve the atmosphere...
Compared to many other stadiums over here our atmosphere is good, but just because something is good doesn't mean we can just sit back and not improve.
If we can get this working then great, something else for you to moan about.
Why don't you create your own group.. The AFB (Arms Folded Brigade)
Where you follow us around all the time, shouting obscenities and making comments about how you're so concerned about what the other Dave that stole your name the other week is thinking.
Idiotic comments like this get right on my tits. How come these young uns never post shit like the above, why do you feel, you have a right to diss others because you supported city longer than some of these young uns.Didsbury Dave said:Absolutely pissed myself laughing at those 'this is a movement' type comments.

I can see quite clearly who's making a fool of themselves with comments like, the atmosphere at city is nothing to do with you. Fuk me their blues, of course it is. It's not yours to share with who you decide.
