Dont be disheartened.

He does come out with some bizarre stuff on a regular basis, eg, every team we play are excellent and very difficult to beat. 'We are in trouble" is the worst example I've heard. For a clearly intelligent man, he makes a lot of (IMO) strange decisions
No, Brian Clough used the same psychology, saying his teams weren’t good enough to win trophies in Public, took all the pressure away. Pep is a brilliant man manager, he’s challenging his squad to improve. There’s a lot of flapping about yesterday’s game, no need, we were playing the third tough game in less than 7 days, the one in the middle being the most brutal I’ve seen City play. That was on the back of a monumental effort just 4 days earlier. We were clearly running on empty and Pep made decisions that will now benefit us. We already have to rearrange Wolves away but can now play West Ham 4 days before they hopefully play in the Europa final, that will have some effect. Hopefully the naysayers on here get a grip and get behind the team and Pep.

Really need to put the pressure on these twats. At every opportunity Pep should be mentioning how hard it is competing with a team going for a quadruple and how close they are to achiving it. Really turn the screw on them, media will lap it up.

Their hasn't been another coach ever, who could be this close to a CL final and winning the league without having a Striker in any shape or form ALL season, I doubt we will ever see it again, where a coach can get so much from a team mentally and physically.

Pep is a genius, for two seasons the guy has made us the most dominant force in football WITHOUT a striker.

When you look at Klopp and see his plethora of top strikers (two of which would sell for 150 million each on their day) and you see what Pep has done, its almost like fighting Muhammed Ali with one arm tied behind your back in his heyday day...what are we 4 goals behind them in the league...? That's an unbelievable achievement. If Pep had Salah and Mane we'd be 20-30 goals clear.

More should be said and respect should be given, no one else could do it. I'm not taking anything away from klopp but he has one of the best assembled footballing teams in world football defensively and attacking and I could think of a good few coaches who could get similar results with this Liverpool side.

Could you imagine Klopp without a Striker? Would he be in the CL semifinals or leading the league? Not a chance.

I'm struggling to think of one person who could do Peps roll and win leagues? Very little is said or written about this.

Pep and the boys have let NO ONE down, our recruitment philosophy hasn't been at the same level. We needed a striker, not a Midfielder.

Simply, Pep is the man!!
I agree with most of your post but I’m not with you on the transfer policy, we tried and failed and after all had gone the previous season without Sergio for much of it. It will be addressed this summer but I think our recruitment team has done a cracking job over the years

Don't get the Brian Clough simile. His teams were bang average on paper, his thinking was more siege mentality and preying on the British underdog mentality. It worked for him tbf, but that was a different time, the game was far slower than that of today, with the backdrop of a drinking culture, only one sub allowed etc.
Fans would have been far more understanding with lower expectations, and Cloughie knew how to manage expectations.
The lack of atmosphere and vibrancy from our fans at Wembley was all too evident and players feed off this. I think everyone around the club needed a pre match lift from our leader - we didn't get it. I admit that I had zero expectations or hope of getting a win.

yep

united and everton games liverpool have to field their best 11 again and also after that champions league and spurs game. 5 big games in a small space of time
Pluss newcastle away lets see how they get on ,i know were a better team than most, but watford were cuttin thru liverpool,i fancy utd tues for sum reason,i know there shite, but thryve got players that can hurt u,ronaldo wont miss big chances, big week comin up

I don’t there was any questions of heart or the team being bothered. Stick Stefan, Zinchenko, Ake and Dinho all in at once against Liverpool then you get what you deserve. Huge initiative handed to the scousers with the quadruple still on.

Absolute insult to the fans that bothered to spend a fortune yesterday. Hope Ederson isn’t too tired today! The worst modern day football tactic, playing your shit keeper in cups.
Hope the players pay for the tickets and travel of our fans. At least i gave myself a laugh this morning...cycling past a pub there were 3 big chelsea flags outside. When the lights changed i gave it a big 'City, City, City' with a few air punches. Fair play they laughed & didn't throw anything. Thought Dino did well...his surge and lay off to Mahrez created the 2nd goal. Anyway a crappy performance.

Today we were 5 players short who would normally have played. They were at full strength. If we meet in the Champs final we will win, trust me.
Been at full strength twice in the league this season and didn't beat them because we missed too many chances
