Dont be disheartened.

I get it, but it’s scary to think if we fail to win the pl or cl it’s because Liverpool did and we would never hear the end of it, we won the domestic treble and it was forgotten in an instant , but they wouldn’t be. We HAVE to win one ( torn as to which one, don’t want to be run down in the league after a big league, yet would love the kudos of winning cl
Quadruple.

What worries me isn't so much yesterday - which was inevitable once the team sheet was announced - it's our sporadic and inconsistent form. We're not arriving at the business end on fire, we're spluttering and have turned in some pretty mediocre performances in the last ten games along with some world beating football too.

We need to improve at the back and up front or as much as I hate to say it, one defeat in both comps left will see us with a trophyless season and a lot of questions to be answered.

Don't know if I'm unique in this thought but losing a semi final at Wembley doesn't seem to hurt as much as at a neutral venue. Getting to Wembley was such a huge insentive in the semis. Don't think the new Wembley has half the magic of the old ( though after 1976 my experience of old Wembley was rugby league related) and the area is now much too built up. If we get to Paris that will be really exciting.

Few bad mistakes yday but ,i do think playin final in between prem games could of cost us,i also think liverpool are in for a tough game tuesday,if they slip an we beat brighton, then pep did right thing to rest players,we had a real tough week i dont think pep had a choice ,and had to change team

yep

united and everton games liverpool have to field their best 11 again and also after that champions league and spurs game. 5 big games in a small space of time

I wouldn't day "weren't as arsed" but the game at Atletico took a lot of energy out of our players and it showed. We simply could not match Liverpool yesterday and was always chasing a game they wanted more than us. Losing narrowly to a top side in a semi is no disgrace and should we meet them again in the CL final with Kev and Kyle available then we will give them a much harder game than yesterday.
Given the circumstances my only concern yesterday was gifting them a headline grabbing drubbing to keep the wind in their sails - but truth be told their arses were twitching with minutes to go against a far from full strength side.

yesterday changed little-to-nowt in my mind. All the mard arses calling for Pep’s head need to remember this is only our second loss this calendar year. The reason our standards and expectations are so high is purely based on what that man has delivered for us.

keep the faith all part of the grand plan

Only won 6 of last 12 and most of them against poor opposition. Lost to the likes of Spurs and Liverpool, scraped past Everton and shit against Palace.
We will not win anything with that form. We have run out of steam. When was our last dominant victory against a top side???
Should have been last Sunday
