Front page quotes ridiculing Mancini for comparing City to Barcelona and Madrid before the Napoli game.

And compiles a list of players in the City with Champions League experience in an attempt to undermines Mancini's explanation that City will learn from the experience

They include Kolo Toure, Owen Hargreaves,, Tevez and Bridge who have about 150 appearances between them.

You'd think City were in crisis, not Chelsea or even Utd who have struggled in a very weak group. What's it going to be like when City lose in the Premiership?

At least we are news.

David Conn's online article is not that bad before his best mates pass comment. It's the front page photo of mancini and the mocking comparison to Barcelona (plus accompanying table with CL appearances) that are the problem.

they will always find a way too ridicule us but stray from the facts.

Correction mate They Will Try and Riducule us but as sure as eggs are eggs we will always have the last laugh!

We will always have the last laugh?

Fuck me, how long have you been watching City?

I confess to buying the Guardian on a daily basis as its by far my preferred choice of reading. I also look at the mailonline for my fix of xenophobia and ignorance. Unfortunately, even the guardian was today guilty of some poor journalism with its CL stats. Saying that I would be happier if Mancini could avoid any comments that could be misconstrued as arrogant or presumptious, I don't think he is arrogant or presumptious but lets not leave it in doubt. A win tomorrow would be the best possible response to any media criticism.

The article that you are getting uppity about is written by David Conn, who is a blue. Let people have their views, it is allowed.

He's a blue in the same way as Nick Hornby is an Arsenal fan.

A means to an end.

I buy the Guardian as much as possible, generally weekend Saturday edition. I always read the sport section first, and previously there have been very positive articles/comments published regarding God's own club. However, after reading the said supplement's report on our European adventures, I came to one conclusion only.....THE WRITER IS A RAG !
