I totally agree. I know Shilton tried this in 1990 and it failed but then most pens aren't hammered right into the corners like those German pens were. And if pens are that perfect then they don't tend to get saved no matter how early the keeper guesses and dives anyway.tidyman said:I've thought for a long time that 'keepers would be better off not commiting until after the ball has been kicked on penalties, since so many try to be clever, banging it down the middle , knowing the 'keeper is going one way or the other.
