This shocking video shows the moment a doorman picks up a clubber and slams him on to the pavement.

The distressing YouTube footage shows the victim fighting with the bouncer in the street outside a nightclub before being bodyslammed.

The confrontation was captured in a 37-second clip entitled "Geordie fight with a bouncer", which was posted online this week.

Northumbria Police revealed yesterday they were trying to trace the victim, which happened in Newcastle at 1am on Friday September 27.

A 30-year-old man has since come forward and been interviewed by police but inquiries are ongoing.

Inspector Caroline Ord said: "This was a serious incident of violence which will not be tolerated by Northumbria Police.

"So far we have not yet heard from the man who was assaulted and would appeal for him to make contact with us so we can check on his welfare.

"Officers are carrying out an investigation into this incident and we are appealing for help from the public.

"We also want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the relevant time who may have witnessed the incident to contact us."

Police are carrying out enquiries in the area and additional officers are on patrol.

A friend of mine used to take great delight battering the shit out of bouncers in Ashton. On his 16th birthday he smashed the crap out of two of them from Universal(?) in Ashton.

Nothing I hate more than doormen. Fucking meat head idiots who have no other skills besides being able to punch someone. Supposed to be there for safety but really they're just begging for it to kick off so they can twat someone. One once tried kicking off with my mate whose a boxer and he fucking floored him in one punch. Very satisfying.

But let's face it, it attracts more than its fair share of pricks. I used to work in a city centre bar and one night we didn't have any bouncers on the door for some reason. A massive fight kicked off and we had to call in bouncers from across the road to break it up. Turns out the person who started it was our regular bouncer. Some of them are just desperate to start a fight.

Hate them with a passion. With very few exceptions, bouncers are essentially the school bullies that haven't moved on in life and still want to be the same person in their adult life. They usually have no skills other than being a general twat and being a big guy. The amount of times i've seen them trying to act superior to ordinary guys that are simply smaller than them and usually with a decent looking girl is ridiculous. I generally stay away from the places you'd expect this type of bouncer so i rarely encounter them myself and even more rarely have a problem with them but when i have, i usually just use my superior intellect to make them look stupid before attempting to move on only for them to threaten or retaliate with violence.

In this instance the other guy looks as though he was asking for it but they still need prosecuting for things like this, It's not in their job description to try and kill somebody.

I remember an incident with the bouncers at 'Sands' at Stretford Arndale in the late '80s. For those that don't remember Sands, it was a soul and r'n'b focused club but always felt an edge to it probably because of the local clientele.

I came out one night and on the road 50 Yards away from the club entrance, some lad was having his head caved in by the bouncers. Lying on the floor getting kicked in the head. I went over and tried to stop the bouncers saying things like 'whatever he did he doesn't deserve this'. I thought the bouncers took it quite well as they immediately stopped. They then told me to wait there while they went back to the club. So like a nob I did.

A minute later I got a bad feeling as I saw them walk out of the club with baseball bats. Shouted to my mate to leg it which we did swiftly followed by the bouncers. I ended up running down a side street and doing a starsky and hutchy style forward horizontal dive over a garden wall into a hedge and lay under that hedge for about 2 hours as I constantly heard them walking past trying to find me. Both me and my mate finally made it back home in one piece but it took us about 4 hours of covert manoeuvring to go about a mile.

I shudder to think what would have happened if they'd have caught us, so like many have said I don't really have much time for these thugs.
