With Walker playing mostly in a back 3 with Dias and Laporte while Cancelo raids forward

Aguero wont start and rightly so at this stage of his comeback. He's still miles off the pace
 
We'll have most of the possession and when we lose the ball it will be mostly in their half. The best way to disrupt their counter will be to press high and tenaciously. If they don't get going, Haaland doesn't get the service, and no team does this as well as us at the moment, in fact it has been one of our best strategies for conceding very few goals.
No one wants an "overthought" line-up, and we won't need to in this regard. A tried and well familiar side.
I wouldn't mind Foden for Sterling, but I agree with earlier posts that suggest Pep's not as likely to start Phil here as most are thinking.

Jesus wide left, foden wide right, kdb and gundogan alternating as the false 9's with rodri and Bernardo behind them. Mahrez unfortunate to miss out. Stones and walker equally unfortunate but the control cancelo offers edges it for him and laporte not going on international duty I think sees him inch ahead of stones now.
