Agree with the false 9 with KDB Foden and one of Sterling or Jesus
Be happy with either

I think Pep will go with Ederson, Walker, Dias, Stones, Cancelo, Rodri, Gundo, KDB, Bernardo, Foden, Sterling. Watching Dortmund yesterday they were poor and quite shapeless at times. Loads of spaces everywhere. Feels like a really good moment to play them.

If we can control Reus on the counter and any long balls or set pieces aimed towards Haaland then we can potentially keep a clean sheet and bag ourselves a couple at least.

It's the CL and Dortmund I expect to be better than they were yesterday but we are on another level right now in terms of team cohesion. That's going to be their biggest problem as they seem to have none.

Dortmund is a club in complete meltdown.
CL next year very questionable, squad development under heavy criticism, new coach coming in, current coach a nice bloke but a nobody.
Heads are down after losing the 6-pointer vs Frankfurt.
Sancho not fit, Haaland's head lost in the transfer market.

Normally Dortmund are able to score, but maybe not vs us.
Our press will test their slow defence.
We have rested important legs and if we turn up as usual from the start this could be a night they won't forget too soon, and the tie over. Can't wait.

Played against VVD in the CL?

Everybody is underestimating Dortmund
Don't you remember Lyon, Monaco and Tottenham?

I think the consensus of opinion is that Pep overthought those ties, as long as he doesn’t do that here we should be alright.

City are at a stage to impose themselves on other teams like we did at Leicester. We put in the effort, have the flair and have tightened up all round to the extent that mistakes are rare. Pep no longer has to tinker with tactics to take into account our potential weaknesses against other teams threats to the extent that saw us perform poorly and be eliminated.

The players know what Pep wants of them and we are not reliant on any one player in any position. No need to fear any side. No player can afford not to give 100% if they wish to retain their place in the team so little chance of complacency.
