Hotel tryp for us

just had a look....looks like good digs! its a bit out of the centre for where i want to be though... a lot of the hotels are full already by the trainstation.

Pension Kirchhoff for us in Dortmund.

Looks like a dive but not bothered for the price and it's right in the city centre. It's next door to a place called 'the Leeds pub'. I don't really know what to make of that?

I'm also in Kirchhoff. Booked too late for A&O. Shouldn't have to spend too much time in there.

What is an A & O place?

Just a normal youth hostel. Usually you have to be a member of the German Youth Hostel Association or the Youth Hostel Association. Could be that you have to pay yourself a tempory youth hostel membership in addition to the price of the hostel. That happened to me when I first visited something similar in Milan. It seems like there is no age requirements.

------------

The youth hostel membership costs 21 EUR a year - could be that you have to pay that in addition to the price of the room...

--------------------
In that link you find an A&O in Dortmund: http://www.aohostels.com/en/dortmund/dortmund-hauptbahnhof/ - and if I recognize it right there is still rooms in all dates in December...

Leeds is twin city of Dortmund. There is a Leeds square in the city centre.
(Just googled that pub. Looks like it is a perfect place for 1970´s Leeds fan)
