Douglas Luiz

Or put another way, a fucking made-up rule in "operation halt City " .

That's a rule that should have been challenged.
How can you be eligible to play for one team and not another in the same league?

You realise it is the Home Office that sets the rules, not the PL.

It is a points based system. The public effectively voted for it, when voting in the government at the time that implemented it.

One of the sets of points, is being in the top percentage of earners at his employers. At our club, with the players we have, he was never going to he amongst the top earners. At Villa, with the same wage, he was. That is why he qualified to.olay for them, but not for us.

But it us a ridiculous rule.
He couldnt play for us but he could for Villa.
When he had signed for Villa, they could sell him to us.

It is not a rule. It is a qualification criteria. It has nothing to do with the league. Is it ridiculous? Arguable, but that's like arguing having diffeent speed limits in different areas is ridiculous.

And no, that's not how it works, they couldn't just sell him back to us. It applies for the duration of his work permit, or till his age triggers a different set of points.
