Doesn't need to be to replace rodri. Different teams play different styles of football, so could require a different type of cdm. No point having rodri against 7iverpoo2 they don't go through midfield. The ball goes over midfield or down the side. So an intelligent, mobile cdm that can cover the ground is more beneficial. I've wanted him back as soon as he left and realised we had a buy back. Its a no brainer, which means we won't be getting him.

Yes,Pep rated him and wanted to keep him,but silly red tape prevented it.

No such thing as "normal" where football contracts are concerned. The buyback can be for the full length of their new contract with varying conditions.
