Douglas Luiz

Don’t think he is very good tbh. Would have preferred onana in the summer. Feel villa upgrades in the summer

To be honest I can't entirely get behind this transfer. He seemingly couldn't make the first eleven of a poor Juventus team, and this was telling.

The idea of a short term loan I would have supported, but the obligation to buy is another thing. Is he any better than Kova as a Rodri backup? If not then I can't see the point.
Kovacic is bang average. I’ve said this from the start. Woeful that a player reaching his level cannot use his left foot for even the simplest parts of the game.

Luiz is a better 6 than anyone we have available right now.....obviously not better than rodri but he is better than Gundo, Kova rico and Bernardo in that role so if we can get him then its a decent transfer.....

Remember Pep wanted him years back so he must have seen something in him. .....he also did well at Villa and has that premiership experience

No brainer if we can get him in .

Similar feelings tbh. Only thing I'm thinking is he'd be relatively inexpensive for a very good player, if not a game changer (even less than Phillips for example). And other posters make a good point that he's PL tested so could slot in quickly.
