Dr Michael Mosley missing on Greek Island | Body found (p 9)

Been on that ferry when we were in Rhodes. Did you go to the island with the monastery?

Symi harbour and little town is very picturesque. We had lunch in a little place on the harbour.

The monastery is usually first stop on the island trip.

We usually get a pie from the bakery and a beer from the taverna a little further up for breakfast.

We did a boat trip into Symi years ago from Rhodes, the approach in with those beautiful buildings all around you is pretty spectacular.

The rocky terrain enhances the heat , almost like sitting in an oven.
Stayed in an apartment years ago in Faliraki, we were literally baking. The owners cousin chuckled when we mentioned the same. Basically the building is built out of concrete which soaks the heat through the day then radiates it internally at night, like roasting potatoes.

No, we just went to Symi on our trip. Had an hour at St George’s bay which was pretty idyllic and then stopped in the main harbour for a few hours.

Like you, we found a nice place for some food and just had a little wander around.
