Drenthe Rash Tackle On Richards .gifs

that's what happens when you have a cheat for a referee. not shown at all on motd & as far as i know not repeated on ssn. if that was mario or vinnie it would be on a loop every 5 minutes but but of course there's no agenda.

Was at the game but didnt notice how bad that challenge was at the time. The ball is well clear by the time he hits Richards at knee height.Very dangerous challenge in my book. If the FA have any consistency that should be looked at. The problem is where does it all end. I think fans just want consistency from refs and the FA, at the moment it is all very selective and their is never an adequate explanation on how decisions are arrived at.

The problem with this incident is that Walton booked Drenthe for the challenge.
This means that it was dealt with on the pitch, and so the FA cannot look at it.
Yeah, I know it sucks but thems the rules.

I think the biggest grievance is that there is no consistency.
This challenge was far worse than Kompany's although Vinnies was two footed.

For what it's worth, it didnt make a difference to the result. We were gash.
No end product. End of story. We can blame the ref, but at the end of the day
we were just not good enough.

Definetly Micha's fault you need to slow it down show it from about 15 different angles and send it to the FA.

i think it did have a bearing on the result,it meant everton didnt have to worry about getting a man sent off, like we did with vinnie and lescott.
drenthe was subbed right after that incident with, what 9 or so mins left.if he was subbed or sent off earlier,we would of had plenty of time to attack without worrying about their most dangerous counter attacking forward.

Evra made a horrendous tackle v Arsenal the other week as well (made me gasp) which has never been aired again! As you say if it was Mario or Vinnie it would be played on loop, and in slow mo from every angle with psychologists coming in to establish their mental state as the tackle was made!!

We created jack-shit all game. Nasri hit the bar from distance. Apart from that
not one clear cut chance.
IF he'd been sent off, I'm guessing that the centre forward would have been
subbed and the defender brought on. Still 9 men behind the ball.
It's all irrelevant now..

;-)

Just talked about the tackle on TalkSport.

They say the ref doesn't give a red because Micah got up quickly.

He goes back after but then it is very difficult to give a red without stopping the game.

Strange.

So if Micah goes down and starts rolling around then Drenthe gets red and Everton start saying that Micah is over reacting to get a player sent off.

Honesty is clearly not the best policy then!
