Drenthe Rash Tackle On Richards .gifs

That was actually worse than Scholes's in the semi final as the ball had long gone. What people are forgetting that should have been a second yellow anyway as Drenthe dived right by the away end early in the first half Walton just signalled him to get up after all isn't simulation a booking offence?

So what is the FA process for reviewing challenges like this? Does anyone know? Does the FA know?

Does a complain have to be raised, because in the past they have done it off there own backs and brought charges against players. Do they review all decisions or just a few selected ones?

Sure, Drenthe got a yellow but I am sure I have seen before players given yellow in the match, ten upgraded to a suspension by the FA post match.

Still, the thing that pisses me off most about that gif is not the tackle. It's the top left hand corner. Ref may have missed this one, but can't blame him for hardly having a shot at goal.

As the ref booked him it's already been dealt with there can be no comeback unless in extreme circumstances like Ben Thatcher

But that is just it - what constitutes 'extreme circumstances'? A media witch hunt? A manager publicly slamming the tackle? The player wearing stripy undies on a Tuesday? The FA seem not to want to divulge information beyond a certain point., but if we know the full story we'd be less justified, and possibly less inclined, in complaining about decisions.

This is my biggest issue with the trial by TV. What is the procedure for looking at incidents? Do they review every game's footage? Does the opposing team have to complain? Does it only happen when Sky make a fuss? Does it only happen in the Premier League or does it go down as far as league 2? For me, either everything should be looked at or nothing.

According to Gallagher on TalkSport the ref either stops the game and gives a red or he plays on and then goes back but can only give a yellow.

As City were chasing the game the suggestion is that he did us a favour!

Bizarre!

anyone got a clip of the Aguero foul in the area that should have been a pen? Cant find it on any highlights

was a great tackle, won the ball cleanly before making contact with aguero - no pen

The defender stood on the ball, failed to take it out of Aguero's path and then brought him down, looked a clear pen to me.
