Dressing Room Unrest? (updated: Mirror report pg 14)

Re: Dressing Room Unrest?

As far as I am concerned, the players should do as they are told by the manager and play to the best of their ability in whatever system the Manager deems suitable for each game, If they lose and things are not going right, the club will do what they have to do.

The great Brian Clough had dressing room unrest sorted, when asked how he coped with players with a problem, he said " We sit down and talk about it for 20 minutes, then we agree I'm right"
Take note Pell...!

Re: Dressing Room Unrest?

What intrigued me on Tuesday evening was Joe Hart coming out of his area twice to talk to the defenders and point them in the right direction!! I've not really seen that before, but then when Vinnie's in front of him he doesn't need to.

But it will be alright, we'll get there. In City I trust.

Irrespective of the individual players abilities I think Demechelis is a much better organiser of the backline, but when Vinny plays Martin takes a backseat and the rest of the defence looks weaker. Not suggesting we would be better without Vinny but maybe if Demechelis is playing he should be the 'defence leader', and Kompany should follow his line.

Nah, once you're retired the days all blend into one!!! ;-) WEDNESDAY, WEDNESDAY, WEDNESDAY!! To be fair to myself I had come straight from almost a 12 hour day consisting of 2 hours of gym training in the morning then meeting, after meeting, after meeting until 6.00 when I had to dash through rush hour traffic to catch the Eccles coach so it's no wonder I didn't know what day it was!! :-)

Maybe once a match once in a blue moon but not twice in the same match and not as far out as that either. They were almost on the half way line. I watch Joe a lot (when the match gets boring) & I've not seen him come out to individual players, yes I've seen him come down the pitch as if he is also bored when the ball is in the other half but not talking to players like that.

They have over a week to sort whatever it is out (not that I think there is unrest).

Work hard on the training ground, take stock and we go to Burnley fresh.

wont sort itself out till end of season im betting, theres more than meets the eye here imo, doesnt matter how hard you train, unless sorted, disharmony rears its ugly head on the pitch and we play like shit, well when compared to last season

Re: Dressing Room Unrest?

When your a top club, and things aren't going the way you want, big players who want to win silverware will get agitated I think there may well be a few players getting frustrated maybe with each other on the positive at least it shows they want to do better?

Re: Dressing Room Unrest?

Whether there is dressing room unrest or not - i dont know but just an honest observation, iv not seen many of our boys playing with a smile on their face for a while now, kind of like ther not enjoying their football at the moment.
Fair enough, we have struggled a bit but we are still second, but very rarely we see a moment where our players are having fun out there and enjoying it.
I love to see a player waving a clenched fist , shouting out the battle cry but what im seeing isn't that.
Im realistic and know players have a bit of a pop at each other and this becomes more apparent when things aren't going to plan but what im seeing is an all round lack of enjoying their football.
A little spat between 2 players doesn't really worry me , it happens at all levels of football.
Aguero's trudge off on Wednesday was a player who looked pissed off and seemed to avoid MP upon passing him.(maybe im wrong but it looked that way)
Im not a lover of MP style of management and his apparent , in my eyes, refusal to alter the way he plays against certain opposition- maybe some of the players are becoming disillusioned with this aswell and its filtering through onto the pitch??
