Aguero looked a very frustrated figure to me - just watch his body language as he stands and watch as Silva scored the first (yes I know he (slowly) walked over to congratulate him afterwards). I'm just putting it down to the frustration of our season looking all but over for now

Zaba has been the one that's worried me really. He wasn't bothering trotting back against boro when they were running through on goal and he did the same against liverpool. Something not right there, but there's probably lots of things not right at lots of teams, it's just magnified when things aren't going so well

I think its down to frustration. They are certainly not playing well consistently, after a superb December,so I think its hurting a lot of the team and they take their feelings out on the slightest thing.
Or maybe some are over the hill as they say ?
So all the players coincidentally stopped playing well and now they're pissed off?

Or

The players are pissed off so they're not playing well?

Or

The players are pissed off because they know they're not playing well?

Just watched the build up to the first goal - Sergio not a happy bunny.
As you say - sure it's just frustration exaggerated by the recent disappointments.

There's nothing wrong with Kun. He continues to tweet positive thoughts - try it, it might cheer you up:

Quote from Sergio:
It took us some time to open the scoreline but we dominated the game and earned the victory. Winning was our goal and that's what counts

I think you mean "City's PR guy who runs the players' accounts continues to tweet positive thoughts".

on the field of play city look a beaten team at the moment the players are just turning up and going to work and doing the job maybe they are down about the run in with Chelsea looking like the champions but we all know what 10 games can be like to defend a point gap

behind the scenes are always hard to judge and maybe things have been put in place for next season
that some player will not like the chairman choice for the manager and he could be out in the summer

if mancini was done after Christmas time but had to stay on working with a unhappy bunch of players then YES IT LOOKS BAD for pellegrini for the sack and the players are pointing at each other

like a lot of fans we are just not happy with pellegrini and that's after a winning double season
what the hell have we got to moan about other than winning silverware city are in a great place

The fact that Chelsea are looking like champions is due to the inept performance against Liverpool. If the team had put in the effort and got a win the pressure would have been on the Chavs - so they really only have themselves to blame.

Cynic: :). Does he just run Kuns account. Clever move

Re: Dressing Room Unrest?

there is a break in harmony, its obvious. what that is down to though nobody knows. could be they know the tactics aren't right, or starting 11 even. our players have form for being mard arses and its looking like a repeat of the mancini sacking to me.

So why are they all at once not playing well?

If the whole 'winners' schtick is right - why didn't they fall out in the seasons where we had to claw back huge gaps to win the title and if not disharmony to what do you blame the obvious decline?

Re: Dressing Room Unrest?

I don't see anything wrong with players giving each other a bollocking on the pitch if they're not doing what they've been practising in training - it's the nature of a team sport, and I think our players are grown up enough and experienced enough to know if they deserve telling.

....having said that.....! I did notice Aguero's rather sulky reaction to the first goal. If you watch it back, he is really pissed off that Yaya doesn't play a through ball to him, but takes the ball across the pitch instead. I can see why - it was a good run into an area Sergio scores loads of goals from.... but his reaction was odd, as he just turned to look back at the bench with his arms in the air, and didn't make any effort to get into a scoring position. Struck me as rather "un-Sergio-like".

Re: Dressing Room Unrest?

They have over a week to sort whatever it is out (not that I think there is unrest).

Work hard on the training ground, take stock and we go to Burnley fresh.

It is probably frustration for Sergio, he hasn't really hit the same form after injury and is on a dry spell at the moment. Not much things is coming off for him at the moment so I think he is desperate to get a goal and back into the groove.

Yaya bypassing him is normal as sometimes Silva and Yaya bypassed Dzeko etc even when they are in a good position. It is sometimes due to the player with the ball sees a different pass that they think is more viable. The players don't have the luxury to see what is happening like we do in the stands and on TV looking overhead.

They'll get over the little spats once they begin to click again. Nothing serious I don't think as we seem to have these little frustrated spats at various games in the past.
