Dressing Room Unrest? (updated: Mirror report pg 14)

Anyone who doesn't acknowledge the nature of these arguments, and thinks they are somehow good, need to take the blue tinted specs off. Like someone said its just like Mancini's final season again, the players deep down know this manager has run his course and have lost a bit of commitment to him. We don't see this sort of bickering at any point during the title winning seasons.

That one between Aguero and Silva quite early on when Silva overhit his pass to Aguero was worrying. It doesn't make us look a unified team singing from the same hymn sheet.

As a slight aside, did anyone else notice how much Toure was shouting at Fernando in the first half, to move into different positions to receive a pass etc? Demichelis doing it too in the 2nd half. In previous games I've noticed players ignoring Fernando when in possession. Unsurprisingly, I don't think they rate him either.

Think you maybe need a pair of these blue tinted specs - they're great

on the field of play city look a beaten team at the moment the players are just turning up and going to work and doing the job maybe they are down about the run in with Chelsea looking like the champions but we all know what 10 games can be like to defend a point gap

behind the scenes are always hard to judge and maybe things have been put in place for next season
that some player will not like the chairman choice for the manager and he could be out in the summer

if mancini was done after Christmas time but had to stay on working with a unhappy bunch of players then YES IT LOOKS BAD for pellegrini for the sack and the players are pointing at each other

like a lot of fans we are just not happy with pellegrini and that's after a winning double season
what the hell have we got to moan about other than winning silverware city are in a great place

A lot of fans do like him though

Just watched the build up to the first goal - Sergio not a happy bunny.
As you say - sure it's just frustration exaggerated by the recent disappointments.

There's nothing wrong with Kun. He continues to tweet positive thoughts - try it, it might cheer you up:

Quote from Sergio:
It took us some time to open the scoreline but we dominated the game and earned the victory. Winning was our goal and that's what counts

Oakiecokie, what's wrong with you? The OP was merely asking if others picked up on his observation at the game tonight. Nothing blasphemous about that.
Can't stand it when fans f and blind at people just giving an opinion. And even worse, fans who make excuses for everything that IS wrong with the team at present.

There is a complete difference between "dressing room unrest" and a few spats between one another on the field of play, which coincidentally happens every week,in every game you you care to see.

It is really unbelievable how some people can turn normal sporting behaviour into something sinister. Did anyone see Roy Keane in action in his prime? He was a master at rollicking his team…it didn't do the rags any harm and our situation is nothing like that!!!!
I think the observation is, that none of our players are like Roy Keane. We don't see them argue or rollock each other much at all.

I've only flicked through this thread but most of it seems to be about players doing just that!! however, I'm glad that you confirm that we don't, in fact, see them argue or rollick each other….

Don't be a condescending prick. What my post was referring to, was the concern this arguing brings to us. It's not a trait on the pitch we've become accustomed to with this crop of players, so seeing them argue raises more eyebrows than having the likes of Keane or Vieira on the pitch doing so.

For all that twats faults he was a born leader and woe betide any player who couldn`t be arsed on a football pitch.Cnut though.

Re: Dressing Room Unrest?

Aguero looked a very frustrated figure to me - just watch his body language as he stands and watch as Silva scored the first (yes I know he (slowly) walked over to congratulate him afterwards). I'm just putting it down to the frustration of our season looking all but over for now

Zaba has been the one that's worried me really. He wasn't bothering trotting back against boro when they were running through on goal and he did the same against liverpool. Something not right there, but there's probably lots of things not right at lots of teams, it's just magnified when things aren't going so well

I think its down to frustration. They are certainly not playing well consistently, after a superb December,so I think its hurting a lot of the team and they take their feelings out on the slightest thing.
Or maybe some are over the hill as they say ?

So all the players coincidentally stopped playing well and now they're pissed off?

Or

The players are pissed off so they're not playing well?
