Dropped points from winning positions

What’s the flaw? He played in most of the games you listed…

Not getting in the position to score goals is worse than missing chances.

I also wasn’t blaming Grealish but using him as one example. I stated the team doesn’t score enough goals.

Back to the drawing board :)
No you singled out his purposely.

I listed 6 match. He did not take part in 2 of them.

Scored/assist the only goal in 2 of them (Man utd, Forest). And set up the only goal in another one(Dortmund).

The team does not score enough goals? No. The defense is not doing enough to stop enough goals.

I don’t agree.

I guess what I’m saying is, I personally prefer it when there’s a front 3 where all 3 are capable of getting at least 15 goals as season.

I think if you only have 1-2 players in the front 3 scoring the goals that it means you become more predictable and easier to defend against since teams can focus on the threat of fewer players and double mark.

Obviously Haaland is amazing so has got not far off 50% of our goals but the overall tallies of the other attacking players aren’t great for different reasons. That means that when Haaland isn’t in the game we’ve sometimes struggled to kill games off.

No problem if you think different. Just my view.

Funny part is, I see Grealish is double and triple marked almost every game now. Dortmund put 2 RB in turns to deal with him. We double marked Grealish as well when he was playing for Villa. As you said, he is never a great goal threat. Perhaps it does not need to be a great goal threat to be double marked?

What I see from recent games he attracted marking more than others and made space for others. If anyone is unmarked, it is clearly usually the other winger who plays opposite Grealish.

But again I respect your view.
