Dullest Football Since Pearce?

Sterlings the worse for it.
Someone please tell me his position.
When hes out wide he plays the ball back to our "wingback", otherwise he fucks off into congested areas where he can't receive the ball.
Fucking fake who is the first name on the teamsheet.
I honestly feel some England players have it as part of their contracts to play.
Advertising endorsements etc
Wonder why Sterling has never been linked with the big big clubs?

Will people stop talking about taking our fucking chances?

It's not about results, it's about watching paint dry for 180 minutes a week. The thread title has it right there.

It's fucking dull. Sterling nodding the ball home in the 92nd minute isn't going to make me say "oh, I guess that last hour and a half was actually quite entertaining."

I'm watching more out of habit than actual enjoyment at the moment. I'm finding watching City this season is incredibly dull, but I'm finding watching football altogether less appealing. Maybe it seems worse because we are not able to go to the game. When Pearce was there it was a lot worse to watch than this but at least you could meet your pals and have a few pints.

Common denominator.....Alcohol

Did he play GazBaz and De Jong together very often? don't remember that tbh. Wouldn't class Yaya as a pivot player, he was true box to box
Yes, in one of Mancini’s first seasons he used to start with Yaya and Barry as a 2 but then he’d bring on De Jong second half and Yaya would move up to behind the striker in the second half. This was something that Mancini did repeatedly. It was a great tactic as teams used to shit themselves when the big man moved upfield.

That's a good point. For a lot of people, this place has become the main place for them talk about the game.

I can’t see us buying anyone in Jan. I don’t think Pep believes there are pressing recruitment needs. I really hope Sergio gets back to full fitness in the year though as that will be the equivalent of a new signing...

new signings is more important that the title this year for me in the jan transfer market. we must open up the check book and spend if we can go long in the champions league ? Haaland if available we must try and sign him. even if its a record deal i don't care this squad is in need of a new striker because aguero is a walking time bomb with injury

city have been slow in signing a striker and we was trying to hard to sign messi that everything else long term was forgotten ? city have forgot about the future and long term and this squad needs youth and young players investing in

ok pep signed another 2 seasons but when you look at the squad and up front its scary and we are short
even if we have a transition period after pep ? there will 5 or 6 players that will be a major problem to replace
city should have had 3 main strikers in the squad but pep calls forwards and wingers strikers and sterling and jesus have been worked into a 3 or a false 9 and its been worked out by others in stopping city

last night WBA had 6 defenders bunch in tight in the box marking one (jesus) ? sterling and KDB was wide
WBA just let us have the ball to cross in taking a gamble in their favour of 6 to 1 marking jesus

this is the problem city and pep have
so why not play 3 strikers and then 2 wide and one holding with a normal back 4 and wingbacks
if we had aguero Haaland jesus sterling and torres and then rodri walker and mendy stones and dias
that would be a great setup and scare anybody we faced

Sat freezing in the South Stand watching us being outplayed by Hull in a 1-1 draw just before Hughes was sacked. Hundred times worse than the football we are seeing now so let's not go overboard eh.
