Dullest Football Since Pearce?

Not the OP's finest hour, it has to be said.

If he wants the thread deleting, all he has to do is ask.

Oh, and pay the £100 administration fee.

Haha don't worry mate, I'm sticking with my opinion for now. Hopefully, I'll be proved wrong but it's gonna take a lot more than the past 3 games to change my opinion after the turgid shite I've watched at the start of this season, especially against United and West Brom.

Even though we won against Newcastle, I thought we were pretty boring to watch but as long as we win, that's fine. Can't say I'm confident we're gonna win anything this season though (maybe the Carabao) which would be a disaster with this squad and after last season, again playing similar tactics. As I say though, happy to be proved wrong and if we win the league this year and start playing great football, I'll be the first to hold my hands up and say some of the negative stuff we've seen so far was worth it in the long run.

If we come a distant second or third to Liverpool though, I wonder how many of the happy-clappers would hold their hands up though and say the football wasn't good enough?

Jeez. The OP is surely having a laugh here.

Give your head a wobble. Winning the League Cup is a disaster? How many barren years did we have? 34? And you're pissed off because the football we're playing isn't brilliant every game, and you're a bit bored?

Have a think about the days we watched Lee Badbuy and all the others that took us into the 3rd division. I've lost count of the trips I've had to Wembley since then. I've remembered every single second of watching the Premier League trophy being held aloft when we've been champions of England.

I'll tell you about my recollections of watching City when Pierce was our manager. I never, ever, thought we would win anything, and that sentiment was based on decades of misery, of being the but of condescending jokes from those arrogant red twats with their sense of entitlement. You sound a bit like them now.

You don't know how lucky you are watching this team if you think it's crap.

It was the dullest football for a long time at this club. We were boring to watch for a good stretch of months.

But that doesn’t mean the very next match it won’t all turn on its head.

That’s like thinking that having no money the week before payday isn’t shit because it’s payday next week. As good as payday is, that week before is still boring.

Genuinely think he was sorting the defence out before we clicked again.

We’re far more robust now and we don’t always need to score 3/4 to make sure we win.

Nothing can be as dull as the 2006/2007. My poor dads last match was an awful 1-0 home defeat to Middlesbrough. Own goal by Son Jihah. It poured down as well if memory serves me.

But that was under Pearce, so even though Pearce’s name is in the thread title, it doesn’t include Pearce. Since Pearce means everything after Pearce.

If the OP made the thread saying “this is as boring as Pearce” I’d have argued against him. But even the 8 draws in a row under Hughes were more exciting than some wins we’ve had this season in the Autumn and lead up to Christmas.

United away was as boring as I’ve seen since (since) Watford at home under Pearce. But the first half at Southampton and today was a good start in maybe playing with greater intensity going forward.

Fantastic to watch today with the handbrake off.

Had a sneaky suspicion that Pep’s been Mr Migagi’ing it this season and today looked like it might well be the case.

i think the arsenal in the league cup QF was the first sight he had enough and open it up

It's actually crazy that this idea was even floated.

The worst football since Pearce, SINCE PEARCE? Are you fucking kidding me. Literally every manager between Pearce and Pep have had a spell equally or more boring than this season (actually maybe with the exception of Sven). Hughes drew like 10 games in a row FFS.
