Dundee school obtain tickets for Liverpool game

I am all for the club giving tickets to local schools so kids who might not otherwise be able to afford to go to watch football can get the opportunity to do so.

But dishing out free tickets to a school in Dundee is absolutely mental and serves no purpose.

I personally know someone who works in education asked City if they could have a tour of the stadium for some underprivileged primary school kids from a poor area in Greater Manchester as part of a school activity club aimed at poorer children.

City told them they'd have to buy them at full price. Fucking cunts. Reeks of Soriano this.
They're not free tickets

It's OK, because when the additional 8000 seats go on sale, and there are 1000's of unsold seats all over the Etihad on a match day, which there will be, apart from the handful of big games, the Directors sitting in the Directors box will see them, and will be to blame.

Let them think on. Every empty seat is costing City money via an unsold seat, no drinks, food, and merchandise sales.

What a way to run a business.

We have never been feared at the Etihad for anything like Noise, Unity or raw passion with the exception of a hand full of games
Agreed, I’m mainly referring to games like Liverpool in 2019 and the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid. I genuinely think the atmosphere has dipped over the past few seasons, even in the big matches.

Imagine you have 2 x North Stand seasoncards for you & your son & have bought 2 x memberships for your Mrs & Daughter at £70 and are just short of enough ticket points for the Liverpool game.

Then 30/40 kids in random football shirts including Dundee, Madrid, Liverpool turn up on the 2 rows infront of you and start pissing about filming for Tick-Tock cheering for Salah & Isak

If this happened to any of us, we would be slightly pissed off

Add to this the amount of You-Tubers

Let’s hope the club have learnt from last year after that poor lad got a good hiding in the South Stand

Are you going to post a link to this then or are you just full of shit?
I can answer here we posted on 1894 twitter it’s there if you look

We spoke to Lee Broadstock about it head of Citymatters who had complained vigorously about it - Lee has been speaking to Danny Wilson, Francine Warburton and Elliot Ward from the club on it.

Not sure why you are trying to make out it’s a false report in any way mate.

Will people attending matches have to pass a quiz on (City supporting?) local celebs before they are allowed to attend a match?

People really post some shite on here.
What is your favourite colour?
Were you at York away?
What is the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow?

I get what you mean but I'm pretty sure our guys know how to run a business.

"We posted on 1894 twitter", I'm not on twitter so why don't you post the link here or explain where it came from originally?

I'm not trying to make out anything, it's you who seem reticent to show any proof.

Hes already posted reasons why its true why do you want him to do it again?

Do you honestly think the 1894 group and chair of City Matters are lying about this?

Where did "dishing out free tickets to a school in Dundee" come from? There has never been any indication these tickets were free.

They do, but I'm expecting a lot of empty seats in the north stand for many games after Christmas unless we sort out prices and access.
Presuming you mean access to the tickets rather than the stand, then if these new rules come in and we're restricted to a multiple of the revenue of the lowest club for spending (and 85% of ours), then we could end up with £150mill to £500mill excess each season. Free tickets for all?

Probably not. I have no idea where football is going.

Yes, I meant access to tickets, but having seen the chaos at the Spurs game it's safe to say access to the stand might also be an issue for the first few fixtures.

We were told that tickets would be cheaper as far back as 2015 because of the new bumper football deals that enrichened premier league clubs further.

The only beneficiaries of that deal seem to be the players and clubs themselves, you're right it's going to continue until they fleece the Lamb completely until it's bald bewildered and freezing to death.
