Dying

Strange story but 5 hours after my Father passed away i heard from him again !
His voice ( in my head ) was cristal clear . As though he was sitting next to me . Also he sounded alot younger , 30 something . Then there was an unbelieveable feeling of love . Unless you`ve ever had this happen to you its pointless tryin to decribe how just overwhelming this feeling was .
There was a few other feelings at the same moment too .

It's weird how our brain reacts in times of stress. Having said that, if you got comfort at that time then that's really all that matters :-)

It did m8 . His funeral , which i`d dreaded did`nt even bother me after that . It` only happened once . but its the strangest thing that ever happened to me .

Hmmm, nobody ever mentioned that bit before...

There was also the thing that happened with ciderjohn's phone when we were travelling back from the funeral. The song that had been played at the funeral was sent to his mobile, by some kind of automated selection.

Coincidence? Probably.

But still eerie.

This is the kind of thing where the truth of the story usually hinges not on the information given but the information omitted. The fact his kids always used to do that increases the probablity that he was mistaken. Unfortunately he died within a few weeks and it seems people are eager to connect the two (even tho, as far as I can make out, there's no reason whatsoever to do so - I mean what are we supposed to believe here? that the Grim Reaper was toying with him?)

There was a surgeon that had a near death experience, he was so taken back by his experience that he dedicated a book on the subject, with his own patients to use as Guineapigs, i cannot remember what it was called but if someone does, please tell me.

I've made a deal with family members of mine that whoever dies next has to do something very specific on a specific date. "feelings" and "sounds" aren't very convincing to me, especially as we learn more about the brain....

BTW, isn't it strange that the brain is trying to learn about the brain? :)

These sort of coincidences tend to happen a lot more than we think. It's just that when they happen at a particularly important time we tend to remember them more so give more significance to them. IMO ;-)

Colin was never one for such posts. That is what was striking.

I don't think he ever posted anything before on such a subject. He also posted (after that one) just a few days before he died that he had seen his late Father on a Scarborough video (his Dad was a well respected Church organist I think. Joanne will put me right if I am wrong). Colin's delight in that was obvious.

The point I am trying to make is that in Colin's final days there were images and signs that, whilst not disturbing him at all, actually seemed out of kilter. To the point where he looked at them and thought "this is odd."

Maybe the brain does things when it senses that you are going to pass away.

There is some evidence that your senses are heightened (because your brain is working harder/differently) before you die.

Yes. But whichever way you look at it, it is upsetting. That the brain can sense things I mean.

Especially in Colin's case and reading what he posted. And then knowing what happened.

My mate , who`s mother passed away in May o8 also saw his father , stood outside his mothers hospital room . He said That his father was guesturing him to hurry . He just got to her as she took her last breath .
