lol. You either control the ball or you do not. Poor is the word I've used to portray the fact that, for a player of his standing, he has lost control of the ball etc. too much.

okay, it's a fair opinion. an accurate description would be the specific incidents of success and failure. i think it's been some good, some less so. that's normal for players new to this country, they don't realise how aggressively players go after the ball (part attitude, mostly that the referees are more lenient if they don't win the ball cleanly). they think they mistakenly think they are taking a touch into space. it's not a good yardstick for the underlying technique.

I'd agree with that. I'm sure he's not used to just how far up his arse CB's get in the PL.

Only thing that's missing really is his passing ability and maybe the conversion of a few chances.

He's doing well though imo and it will all come together in the end. Quality player.

did you not see his assist today? he misplaces some passes, because he is trying to find the killer pass and that requires magic, but overall i think his control and passing is top notch for a #9.

his assist today was absolute class.

As was the one for Yaya in his first match, and the 2 through balls he played for Shaun at Aris.

I cant see where people think he has a bad touch, the ball can get pinged at him from 10 yards or lobbed up to him from 50 and most of the time hel a) take it to his feet and hold it or 2) he'l lay it off to any blue shirt around him and spin, and even if he does miscontrol it occasionally I'm going to piss you all off but carlos tevez is a example of a top class player with a first touch that can sometimes be completely wank and lose us a goal scoring oppurtunity so be fair to the new lad if your going to slate him for the odd loss of control dig carlos too

apart from his miss one on one, i thought he had a quality game.

sounds silly but his chance he missed, he has too much time if you get me, he wasn't sure what we wanted to do.

he held the ball up well, FIRST TOUCH was class, stopped the ball dead many times, played alot of quality one touch passes with Silva & Tevez (so he does exsist to Tevez afterall).

overall it was a good display, i'm glad he got himself another goal, his celebration and his face showed it meant alot to him, he enjoyed himself today.

A lot of people will judge Dzeko based upon his goals per game. But tbh I don't care about how many goals he scores , of course I would love him to score loads, but it is performances that I want and slowly but surely we are getting them. He is gradually improving and he offers a genuine threat upfront , especially in the air where he can give bullet headers . He has a very good first touch for a man of his size and is also very good in possesion and can play the pass . He still needs time but there is improvement and I am happy to see it , I wanted him to score today more than anybody because I believe the stick he gets is unfair . He always looks like he could and will score a goal whether it be in the air or on the floor , and in the last months of the season , he will be very influential to this team .
