1 and half then, he's still shiat.

No 14 months he's been here, barely over a year. 1 year and a half would = 18 months...

I am not a Dzeko fan at all but I think one shouldn't put the blame on him alone.

A striker of my country that played in Italy for many years was in a talk show in TV 3 months ago. When asked who he considered to be his "heir" as a striker, Batistuta said:
'I do not really know for I was a bit special . I was not a good player at all, I was just a striker.'

Dzeko is, like Batistuta, just a striker. But he has been lately forced to play most of the time as a forward midfielder and he is far from good in that position. Unless you play Dzeko as a finisher, there is no point in playing him.

The problem (IMO) is that City's attacking midfielders have lately been playing down and down. Silva has of late been spending most of his time in the pitch behind the midfield, defending, when Silva is immense as a forward midfielder. Dzeko tries to play as he can as an attacking midfielder, and Aguero is left alone in the front line surrounded by all the defenders. Yaya's comeback has been great for City for he really plays a good part of the game as an attacking midfielder.

Unfortunately it is turning very easy to play against City. Just send 2 or 3 defenders to neutralize Aguero and half the job is done. So in the last matches City has been forced to score mainly with shoots from 40 or 50 yards. Not always effective.

As for Balo, I think he is a terrific player, but lately he seems to be more worried about getting penalties than scoring or assisting. This is a total waste of talent for the guy (when he wants) is really great. When he was left alone with the ball in front of Cech last week, he coudn`t score. I couldn't believe that! Maybe he was thinking how to get a penalty.

He has 18 goals this season. I know a lot of them were 2/3/4 goal hauls in routs, but he does know where the net is.

He is very much a confidence player. When he's good, he's good but when he's off form he may as well not be on the pitch he's that bad.

I wouldn't be thinking about shipping him out just yet, as he's only been at the club 14 months. Maybe next year he'll be more consistent.

One thing I will say though is if ye shipped him out but replaced with by bringing Adebayor back into the fold you'd be much better off. He's a far superior player to Dzeko and would be a better fit to the your system. Mancini may have to swallow some pride to make it happen (I assume he had a falling out with Adebayor?) but he's already done that with Tevez in more difficult circumstances.

Mancini has a playing system and Dzeko doesnt fit in it. That's the basic thing.

Why Mancini didnt change our tactic or why did he buy Dzeko and not a striker who fits the bill?

Dzeko still scored a lot of goals this season but he could do better with different tactics.For him it is like if we would play Silva as a winger who isnt allowd to cut inside only fast sprints down the line. He could do a good job but couldnt show his strongest side.

We have to sell Dzeko if Mancini is still here next season because his tactics could be very good for a different type of striker.

Cant really blame Dzeko, still think Agüero-Dzeko is our best striker duo this season, but a Cavani type striker would be better for our style.

last season whilst my mates would tell me he's shit i'd defend him til the end and after spurs 5-1 i though i'd been rewarded.

but now tbh the sooner this guy leaves our club the better for me, utter useless from our perspective, he simply doesn't fit at all. if i'm honest the same goes for balotelli today... were either of them even fucking playing!?

alright for all you bosnians (if he's your greatest ever then i feel for you) he's alright when he gets crosses put into him but ffs, the squad he's playing with and he can't even play decent short passing football. touch of a rapist and his passing leaves a lot to be desired.

on the other hand balotelli has done fuck all recently a part from score the odd penalty. sulking fucking mard arse at the moment who isn't impressing me at all.

i know this might not go down well on here and i hope it doesn't get merged mods but balo and dzeko are fucking pissing me right off.

Those two "passengers" are the reason we are top the reason we have a cup and the reason we have the record in home wins.

Some of you emotional people need to rub one out before you post. I respect the fact you have been a season ticket holder for 12 years in 12 years we have never had players as good as Dzeko and Balotelli. The only flop is the control on your emotions and you sudden need to attack the very players that give you joy as a fan.

Take away Dzekos 17 and Balotellis 14 and we are not even MID TABLE ffs if you are so disgruntled tear up your season ticket there is a waiting list for them. The only thing annoying about Dzeko are his cheerleaders and judging a player because you "claim" to know is attitude is kind of desperate. Every player has good games and bad games I bet when Balotelli was tucking them in at the swamp you were not complaining.

Take the good with the bad we have the best strikers in the premiership, we are top of the fucking league. Threads like this are an insult to the effort made to get is here.

All I keep hearing is effort this effort that no team wins every fucking game its football. These players have played up to 41 games the main players at the swamp have played 32/33 games because of the rotation there. We have had 3 strikers for over 3 months. The scum and the arse have 5/6 are you starting to get my point?
