Dzeko to Chelsea

Re: Dzeko to Chelsea

Dont forget that Mourinho wanted to sign Dzeko at Real Madrid before we signed him so although the prospect is still far fetched, it is not entirely surprising that Mourinho will be interested once again

Mourinho is a no nonsense manager that does not distract and delude himself with the so called nice football tiki taka disease that is corrupting the mentality of the society through the media. He is all about getting the job done by maximizing your talent with honesty, hardwork and optimum effort on the pitch.

Dzeko is not particularly good technically but he is still a top goal getter and I have always rated him as our best goal scorer and our real No 9. Unfortunately this season has not gone so well but then again that applies to our other strikers but Dzeko seem to have received most of the criticism probably due to the fact that he different from the others in terms of style. But his record this season is still not too bad considering he was a squad player for most of the season.

I also expect Mourinho to keep Lukaku as well.

Re: Dzeko to Chelsea

Jose said in his first interview he looks forward to working with Mata, Hazard, Luiz etc. Marca is just shameless.

Re: Dzeko to Chelsea

Too risky to sell him to Chelsea. Part ex to Napoli plus cash for Cavani or offload to Germany. That performance away at Spurs was a disgrace.

Re: Dzeko to Chelsea

We can't have it both ways either Dzeko ain't good enough therefore sell him (it doesn't matter who to because we all know his faults) and use the money to get Cavani who everyone says is better. If on the other hand Dzeko is good enough and for me I can't get over seeing his lack of control on the first touch where the ball bounces about 2 yards from him to the opposition or the instinctive goals he scores sometimes out of nothing then we should keep him and not waste 54m on Cavani. Over the seasons since he has been here I would suspect he has had a lot more negative things said against him than positive, which means get rid, but don't expect anything other than a hatrick of goals scored by Dzeko against us the next time we meet whether it be against Chelsea or Napoli.

Re: Dzeko to Chelsea

We will not buy Dzeko ! This is just lazy journalism based on Mourinho's past interest in Dzeko. First of all it wouldn't be cheap since you're a rival. Secondly, all the deal does is finance City's purchase of a much superior player. I'd bet my left testicle on this not happening.

Who would you rather Chelsea have?

1. Cavani
2. Ibrahimovic
3. Dzeko

Because there is a chance this could be their shortlist. People talk about Mourinho managing Dzeko, but what about Mourinho managing CAVANI!?!?

It's a sacrifice I'd make if it meant Cavani, even if it leads to a few "Dzeko scores -> does his smart-arse 'be quiet' taunt to City fans" moments.

It's harsh Dzeko takes so much stick for that celebration pretty sure he was just encouraging everyone to cheer Tevez for the cross, he pointed straight at him.

Err, he pointed at the crowd... I was in the very area he was pointing at and Tevez hadn't joined us. People around me weren't impressed as he hadn't been getting much stick from the area.

Fair play, from EL3 it was a bit of a lenient guess and on replays it looks that way.

Re: Dzeko to Chelsea

under mancini edin was the classic square peg in a round hole.
those who think he needed wingers flying in crosses, well he aint the type to bully defenders out of the way to get to the ball. His real need was through balls on the deck to run onto but rarely got, when he did he scored. The new manager has everyone guessing , we simply do not know his plans. Whereas edin is very good at one thing, Cavani is the full package, if we sign him he will fit in anywhere, score from anywhere.

Re: Dzeko to Chelsea

Yep what the poster above said...

If Chelsea walk away with a forward line of Dzeko, Ba and Torres its much than a forward line of Cavani/Ibra, Ba and Torres.

We will not get the cash we paid for Dzeko from any other club but Chelsea. Might as well just let the deal happen. I'm happy any replacement can match (and outperform) anything Dzeko will do next year.

Create funds for a Cavani, fill up a striker spot at Chelsea with a mediocre footballer and get rid of some of the Dzeko fanboys?

Get it done.

What about the influx of the Uruguayan Cavani fanboys?

Re: Dzeko to Chelsea

They are going to buy a striker. We all know it. If it is Dzeko then they have done us a favor in taking our unwanted striker and not getting the handful of better options that are out there.

Re: Dzeko to Chelsea

Sure I seen on twitter about 10mins ago loads of people saying Hulk to Chelsea is imminent. Let's hope they take dzeko too

Re: Dzeko to Chelsea

Lol, Dzeko will outscore Cavani if Cavani comes to city and Dzeko goes to Chelsea.
