Dzeko to Chelsea

Re: Dzeko to Chelsea

Assuming Chelsea are in the market for a striker, Edin is surely about as bad a striker as we could imagine them signing is he not? He clearly is not in the league of Cavani or Falcao who they were strongly linked with.

Dzeko does score goals, but I just cant get past that complete lack of being able to control the football, get a good price and sell

Would it fuck! Who knows what Pellegrini might be able to get out of Edin?

That's the point! Wolfsburg played with 2 natural wingers and Dzeko scored tons of goals there. Lets be patient with him , give him one more season under pelle and see how it goes.

I know what your point was mate and I agree, or I'm at least open to the idea (not sure what the full plan is with the strikers yet)

I am in the 'Keep Dzeko camp' as I still don't think we have ever seen the best out of him as our play obviously doesn't suit him. Let Pellie have a season with him and see what comes of it. My fear is that we get Cavanni in for Dzeko and the goals scored remain on a par.......... and we will be around 20M pounds (at least) worse off. Also never keen on selling a player to our rivals as it invariably comes back to bite us on the arse. A fired up Edin looking to prove a point will be hard to contain IMO..

With Oscar, Mata and Hazard creating chances he would score a lot of goals imo. I'd prefer if Dzeko went abroad because I think he'd fit in quite well at Chelsea, especially under Mourinho.

Surely the one time you sell a player to your rival is to stop them signing a better playet that you can get yourselves?

City with Cavani is better than Chelsea with Dzeko. But Chelsea with Cavani would be a very real threat.

Re: Dzeko to Chelsea

Dzeko needs a bit of love and passion from the manager and that is exactly what mourinho does to his players. He's not the best tactically but will get the most out of everyone and that's what dzeko needs, he will score for fun there unlike here where Mancini didn't even try to accommodate him and it seemed was trying to get rid of him

If that did actually happen, I don't think the difference next season would be anywhere near as big as some make out. Would expect Dzeko as the main man at Chelsea to score as many as Cavani for us, certainly within 3/4 goals. Dzeko with consistency and confidence is a bloody beast.

Re: Dzeko to Chelsea

And Dzeko with his "flubber" feet is a complete disaster!

We need a one chance one goal striker soooo much!

I can't see Ba and Torres/Schurrle/Lukaku offering him any less rotation than he got here though. Agree he's a fantastic player but he needs to play at a club where he's near enough the only option. Napoli, Dortmund, Spurs or Arsenal would be perfect for him.

If Chelsea get Cavani then i believe we will go all out for Bale and keep Tevez, Aguero and Dzeko. They are three top strikers and there aren't any better strikers available IMO, so we would be better off getting Bale who has pace and can play left, right and center.
