Dzeko to Dortmund

That's a nonsense statistic though as it doesn't take into account shots off target. So if they miss a one on one by putting it of target, it doesn't show into your stats.

It's not nonsense... It's also not ideal. but gives a decent picture when speaking of prolific strikers: ones who start regularly.

So what if they miss 1v1's? every player does.
It gives you a basic picture of how clinical a striker is when they hit the target, regardless of how they score it.

Who cares if it's a 40yd screamer, a 1v1 or a chip shot? A goal is a goal.. and a regular starter will always have loads of shots, shots on target etc... As long as they bury at a decent record, it's all good to me

We don't have a clinical goal scorer in the squad.

Wow. Really?

As an outsider, I disagree... wholeheartedly

I know, shocking isn't it. Aguero is very clinical indeed. He has such an eye for the corners of the goal. He is truly exceptional just off form this season due to injuries, and I suspect also his reported family concerns haven't helped either.

Absolute rubbish. Aguero is a world class striker, but he's not close to being a clinical finisher. He scores 1 goal for every 4 chances he misses. You can't argue with the 30 goals he scored last season, but the truth is he misses very easy chances as well.

Vital to us no doubt, but he needs to be the 2nd striker behind a striker with a Falcao or RVP ability to bag 8/10 decent chances they get

i agree with this, aguero is our best player IMO but if he does need to be more clinical.

if we bought cavani or falcao then we'd see a devastating partnership.

I'm not saying don't buy Falcao, or that Aguero isn't a brilliant second striker as well. But he's far more clinical than people seem to give him credit for. It seems to be the latest "fad" post just to say all our strikers aren't clinical. Some aren't, but Aguero is. Just not at the moment.

In my humble opinion.

If he's going (and I am convinced that he is gone) .. thanks Edin for some crucial goals over the seasons (not least the equaliser v QPR !!!!!!)

Good luck in the future.... oh and ffs work on your ball control !!!!

We will sell our target man striker, have 4 small strikers then buy a winger to provide crosses :)

Because scoring with your head is the only way to finish crosses

Hasnt Dortmund Director recently claimed that this whole story is fabricated...? Something in the lines of "our strategy is to develop young players, not to bring in players"...

So...
