Dzeko

Bayern has bought two new strikers for their one striker system - whereas Olic left for Wolfsburg. Now that they have done their deals in the forward section they have loaned Petersen to Bremen.

I do not think they would be in need of a fourth forward, when they currently have

Gomez
Mandzukic (the deal is officially announced)
he had only 12 goals last year but is another type of striker that had 10 assists, too
Claudio Pizarro (he has played for Bayern from 2001-2007 before)
hat 18 goals and 10 assists last year in 29 matches

That chapter is closed...

The new rumours are Juve.. ;-)

I want Gomez in any deal for Edin. Robben is slightly over the hill now and has a shitty attitude. Don't want him at City as he would be a cancer in the dressing room.

Gomez?!! Come on the guys as mobile as street light and would be seriously found out in the Prem, a finisher he is but he does jack shit outside the box and we play a more fluid system than give the striker the ball, we expect themto be able to play outside the box with intelligence Gomez can't do this but Dzeko can. I vote we keep Edin.

Agreed. Sometimes Dzeko looks a it cumbersome but, for example, I do not see Gomez creating a goal like the one at Emirates in the Carling win.

I think that Dzeko with the constant support from Ribery, Robben, Müller, and Kroos/Schweinsteiger easdily would score 20-30 league goals in Bundesliga.

At City the strikers have to work hard to create chances for themselves too, íou get the ball outside the box, you have to make the most of that from there.

Bayern' and City's tactics totally different, unfortunately our system doesnt suit Dzeko's strengths. Still he would score 20+ goals in City too if he would play that much. Played 1500 minutes and he scored 14 league goals.

Gomez/Rooney/RVP so another leading strikers played 2800-3000 minutes in the league. (So basically they started 85% of the league matches.) And they scored around 25-30 goals.

Dzeko scored half the goals in half the time.

I like Dzeko but think he would be a fix starter at Juventus its a little bit waste for him to sit on the bench. I I were him I would go to Juve, he tried City, he was OK won the cup (important goal against Notts C) won the league (some very important goals by him), but not fantastic couldnt get a place in the starting team.
(Imagine if Tevez is here and fit all season, Dzeko wouldnt play 1500 minutes in the league at all. Maybe half of that.)

Another bad situation for him that we are looking for another striker. Big name like Cavani, RVP. Well Agüero, and the new striker arent the ones who will sit on the bench most of the time from the strikers. Dzeko's best hope is some injuries to Agüero and the new striker. And discipline problems for Mario too. Thats his best chance to get some matches in a row in the starting line up.

We need to play to his strengths and sign a good winger if he stays and want the get the best out of him.
But dobt it, even f would sign Hazard I'm not sure he would play on the wing. Mancini doesnt play with wingers.

Gomez scored 40-50 in the Bundesliga, its not hard for strikers at Bayern to score with Robben/Ribbery on the wings and playing some pretty average defences.

I'm not won over by Dzeko, don't think he's cut out for the top elite that we'll need to win the CL.

For eg, I'm not convinced in a Semi-final game against Real Madrid that he'll be the one to do something special.

Maybe not but he is a must in the squad and will score goals in important matches.

Frankly I wouldn't change our frontmen for quids.

Of course we might lose one over the summer because of an outlandish offer and the fact that one of them needs a new challenge but I for one hope they all stay.

We don't need tinkering upfront this summer.

We need our frontmen to get to know each other better with another full season together.

With more width Dzeko will be hard to stop , he is a class act.

I'd rather have dzeko who would be a super sub for us whenever we need that all important goal, rather than a van persie who would sulk at the first chance he gets in seeing the bench.. why fix the best attacking frontline of the premiership when there is nothing to fix??

Something to be said about this - we were the top scorers in the league and thats with Aguero (first season) Dzeko ( in and out of the team. not easy), Tevez (say no more , would be like a new signing, still think he's the one mancini will want out) and Balo who i expect to be a beter team player next season ( just worry what he'll be like if on the bench a lot).

If tevez goes then we need one quality forward who can pllay anywhere across a front three

we have to take into consideration though that last season was the first season that all these high profiled attackers played together and as a unit. I think we saw what they were capable of towards the end of the season when we closed the 8 pt gap from united.

can't wait for next season and seeing them gel together as a team.
