Talkshite are reporting the following....

Bayern Munich will offer Arjen Robben to Manchester City in their attempt to sign Edin Dzeko, according to reports in Germany.

The Bavarian side, who failed to win silverware last season, are desperate to wrest back the Bundesliga crown from Borussia Dortmund next term, and have reportedly set their sights on securing Dzeko's services.

Manchester City are rumoured to have slapped a £32m price-tag on Dzeko, despite the Bosnian's inconsistent displays at the Etihad Stadium.

And according to German newspaper Bild, Bayern are considering offering Robben as a makeweight in their bid to sign the Bosnian forward, despite the fact the Dutch winger penned a two-year contract extension at the club in May.

Robben's father Hans, who also acts as the former Chelsea man's agent, recently revealed doubts over his son's future at Bayern.

"It is possible that Arjen is leaving Bayern," he said.

Although I shouldn't get further than "Talkshite", this would depend on the value they were placing on Robben.

If we can get 15mil plus Robben then deal, imo.

Well the source is Bild, not TS. That could be a useful deal as we seem to be struggling to land a top winger after missing out on Hazard and with Bale likely to cost close to £40million which just isn't realistic. Robben had a nightmare end to the season but in general is top class.

can't we have muller or ribery instead

If they offered Mueller, I'd snap their hand off.

The reason that isn't gonna happen though, is that it'd be marketing suicide by Bayern. I live here (in Germany) and pretty much all of the fans have a Germany shirt, and the biggest selling one is 13 - Mueller.

Add this to the fact that he is one of their better players (and certainly, along with Schweinsteiger their 'heart & balls'........

No thanks - different players but hard to say who is the best, BUT for sure Edin is younger and a significantly better bloke; robben could not cope with being rotated and would cost a lot and then end up leaving for fuck all

Are we pricing Bayern out of a move for Dzeko? That is poetic justice if true.

Bild is saying that Bayern are closing in on Mandzukic for only €10m (vs. the €40m we're demanding for Edin) which would eliminate their need to sign Dzeko, which would also mean we're more than likely keeping Dzeko as no one else is going to cough up so much unless PSG take interest in him.

Perhaps the Robben swap idea is Bayern's last desperate attempt to get Dzeko for a lower price.

Wouldn't do it, Robben's old and crocked. And his contribution to the dressing room is more than questionable.

I dont want to lose Edin Dzeko...Once he gets his regular form back...watch out premiership !!!

Bayern can see this, thats why they are desperate to get him.
