Dzeko

Dzeko prob had a top class striker in him somewhere. For some reason he cant do it a City...

Reason being the system we play, play like the rags or Spurs and he'd be laughing (30+ goals a season). It all comes down to that really and it's for that reason that van Persie is a much better fit for us than Dzeko probably as he is used to playing in a technical/quick passing system at Arsenal.

Yeah but Arsenal does mix their playing styles, and passing aside, almost all of Arsenal's crosses into the box were meant for RVP. In such a system, Dzeko would (conceivably) also have scored a lot of goals..
Really, if everyone is expecting RVP to make an immediate impact or be a huge improvement on Dzeko, are bound to be disappointed..and those who say Dzeko is shite, need only look at RVP's performance at the Euros as an example that world-class strikers can also be shite at times..

To label him as "shit" is complete nonsense and a fail of gigantic proportions

No it isn't. To admit that a player 'doesnt fit our style particularly well' in two seperate threads and then argue in favour of him is though.
Since when has a player who has won two titles in two top European Leagues and almost single-handed took Bosnia to the European Championships been shit? Only in your world, and that of jealous Utd fans. he didn't play every week last season because we had Aguero who is the best there is. He scored 13 League games despite only starting in about half of them

I wasn't gonna bite but hey........

2 top titles in top european leagues you say?

John O'Shea, Wes Brown, Anderson....... do I need to go on?

proves absolutely nothing really does it?

Euro 2012 qualifying wise Bosnia had a remarkably shite group including Luxembourg, Belarus, Albania and Romania, with only France being half decent. He scored 4 goals in the group 2 of which were against Luxembourg.

Hardly proof of him being some awesome footballing deity is it?

Didn't play for city every week you say?

Well yes, that's because he isn't as good as the other strikers we have. Take away the 4 he scored against Spurs (he had 'one of those days' that day) and he scored 15 goals in 40 appearances for City last season. 6 goals in 21 appearances the year before.

No offense mate - but your "reasoning" above is so skewed, not to say utter garbage.

- Dzeko won two titles while being one of the KEY players on both teams (19 goals for City, 26 for Wolfsburg I believe) - so your comparison to O'Shea and Anderson - GARBAGE.

-In qualifying campain for WC2010 (year before joining City) Dzeko was second best scorer behind - Rooney. On top of that I believe AT 26 he is 3-4 goals away from being Bosnia's all time best scorer already. Again - your "analysis" of his national team performance - GARBAGE.

WITHOUT NT goals:

2008 - 24 goals (golden boot runner-up)
2009 - 26 goals (golden boot, championship, WC2010 golden boot runner-up)
2010 - 26 ish goals (11 for Wolfsburg, rest for City)
2011 - 19 goals (championship).

Only an IDIOT can call a player with this type of career "garbage". What does that make you?

Please stop with your "reasoning" - for your own sake.
You are making an idiot out of youself.
Just stop.

Just stop with your "reasoning" - we get that you hate the guy, and thats OK -but no need to make an idiot out of yourself by trying to be a smartass.

Just stop.
He can't.

Every Dzeko thread;

1) Somebody starts a thread about something that slightly relates to Dzeko

2) then some express how much they like Dzeko as a person and a player

3) Other posters criticize him for some of his performances and certain aspects of his game

4) More posters then respond to the criticism

5) 'Debate' ensues

6) Several posters are then labelled haters

7) Whilst others are labelled fan boys

8) Old posts are then 'bumped' with the sole intention to provoke some posters (by both sides)

9) Steps 5-9 are then repeated until the next Dzeko thread is started (the next day) and the cycle starts over again.

I like Dzeko and want him to stay.

I believe the real reason Mancini is(may be) not keen on him is something I don't think anyone else has mentioned.

All of our players need to be able to spend a few games on the bench and then make an immediate impact when they are picked to start. The fundamental of the rotation policy.

Some players can do this, some can't and seem to need a few games before they repeatedly contribute to the teams performance. I think this is why Dzeko fails and players like Aguero & Tevez can, and do, contribute to the teams performance no matter if they are starting regularly or not.

And, one last thought. Spain's achievements using 1 or ZERO strikers seem to be pushing some to look to play more creative midfielders who can get forward and score. This is definitely not Dzeko.

The only thing that may save him (keep him at City) is that he is the proverbial plan B and proved it against QPR ( A game when he did come of the bench and contribute).

How true, step 9 can be summarised as "rinse and repeat".
