Dzeko?

Onto a different topic:

City will play in CL, FA/League Cup and EPL of course - and will try to win it all....

Considering the above - going with Bony and Iheanacho behind Aguero is very, very suspect strategy to me...I'm expecting another striker to come in.

I know many people on here like him - but 10 games in I said Bony will be a big bust at City...even though I hope I'm wrong - you can call me out when (or IF) he shows up. Playing for Swansea and playing for City are two very different things...in many regards. If he was able to adjust - he had plenty of time to do so, I just don't believe he 'has it' in him.

Iheanacho shows a lot of promise...but again - this is a title contender not a mid-table club...If Aguero (God forbid) goes down again - Iheanacho might also fold under pressure.

Don't know - just really do not like the reserve striking options right now...they need to protect Kun as much as possible.

So many memorable moments - and yes, that goal vs Villa was both crucial and epic.

One goal that hasn't been mentioned much on this thread is the opener at Palace. We had just got a lifeline from Slippery Steve, but had to win at one of the more difficult away grounds against a team who had won 5 in a row and bested Chelsea. It had all the makings of a nerve-shattering afternoon. But Dzeko's superb run to get on the end of Yaya's floating ball in after 2 mins immediately allowed a collective exhale. At that moment, I felt we would do it. What a day that was!

Thanks for everything, good luck Edin.
I hope we don't regret this....
I don't see any reason why we will on last seasons evidence. This move suits both parties down to the ground. Teams evolve and the simple fact is Edin no longer fits the way he did when he signed. It happens all the time. There's no acrimony as far as I can tell, though I'm sure he'll be quick to say he didn't play as often as he should have - which is his right.

Yea - but it is not that simple to measure his output last season...
It goes both ways - it is tough to score and produce when you dont play. I think the writing was on the wall sometimes LAST season for him (I think after Bony was signed) - since I distinctively remember he almost played ZERO minutes entire April and May...

Last season was really difficult to judge him on - strange things were happening, especially since Bony came in and it was clear that they will try to slide him in over Dzeko instantly...regardless of the price. THIS is the move that I hope Pellers will not regret - that is if Bony fails to deliver...if he does it would mean Pellers ran out dependable striker for a bust.

Season will be interesting as hell :-)

If there saying were not signing a striker maybe david villa loan in jan?

From the comments Pelle made after citylive it seems Sterling will slide over and fill the striker role if needed...and they also want to get Iheanacho some game time, so really cant see any strikers coming in mate....
