Onto a different topic:

City will play in CL, FA/League Cup and EPL of course - and will try to win it all....

Considering the above - going with Bony and Iheanacho behind Aguero is very, very suspect strategy to me...I'm expecting another striker to come in.

I know many people on here like him - but 10 games in I said Bony will be a big bust at City...even though I hope I'm wrong - you can call me out when (or IF) he shows up. Playing for Swansea and playing for City are two very different things...in many regards. If he was able to adjust - he had plenty of time to do so, I just don't believe he 'has it' in him.

Iheanacho shows a lot of promise...but again - this is a title contender not a mid-table club...If Aguero (God forbid) goes down again - Iheanacho might also fold under pressure.

Don't know - just really do not like the reserve striking options right now...they need to protect Kun as much as possible.
we wont sign another striker

Could be and unless Sterling does the business from the outset supporting Kun we may well struggle this season.

Clearly having target men on the end of crosses is not on our radar notwithstanding our inability to supply decent crosses with our personnel.

Thanks for everything, good luck Edin.
I hope we don't regret this....

I really HOPE WE BUY ANOTHER 9.

The arguments for Nacho and Denayer and to set young players in are good, BUT not if we want again to win the Premier.

If we want REALLY to fight for the Premier again, we HAVE to buy a new world class 9, AND a world class defender.

IMO, Otamendi and Higuain would be great!

Man City captain Kompany thanks Dzeko ahead of Roma transfer
21:48, 6 August 2015

Edin Dzeko played a key role in Man City's two Premier League title wins and has earned praise from captain Vincent Kompany.

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has vowed the club 'will never forget' departing striker Edin Dzeko's contributions.

Dzeko, 29, arrived in Rome on Thursday evening ahead of his £14m transfer to Serie A runners-up Roma and was fervently greeted by Giallorossi supporters.

Though infuriating during City's dismal title defences, Dzeko scored a number of vital goals in The Blues' two title-winning campaigns and Kompany was spoke effusively about his former teammate.

"Thank you @EdDzeko for all the great moments at this club. We will never forget what you did for us. @OfficialRadja, look after him! mcfc," Kompany tweeted, referring to compatriot Radja Nainggolan.

Dzeko's stoppage-time equaliser against Queens Park Rangers on the last day of the 2011-12 season set-up Sergio Aguero's unforgettable title winner moments later.

He played 300 minutes of PL football for City last season and scored twice, if he keeps up that ratio we should be right.

We have 3 strikers for one position and 4 CBs for two positions, we don't want or need either.

Pellers said the other night that City will not be buying a replacement for Dzeko, this is to give Kelechi more chance of first team football.

Pelle mentioned in an interview a couple of nights ago that we wouldnt buy another striker....as Sterling can also play that position and want to give Kelechi some game time....Looks like Pelle feels we already have 4 strikers in the squad so cant see us adding another mate!;)
