You lot make me laugh.

You haven't given up or stopped until your monthly spend on nicotine is £0.

This thing is great i've not had a smoke now for nearly 48 hours. Normally I'd be climbing the walls by now when I've tried to give up in the past.
That's brilliant mate, I was the same. Been using them for 10 months now, wobbled a bit at first (still bought a ten deck for a night out etc but only a few times in the first 6 months)* and still like a spliff occasionally but day to day they are great.

*Edit - Might add, that the 10 deck on a night out stuff ended when I got a VV battery in Feb.

Does anyone else find that they are more addicted to these than cigs? Mine's like a lollipop, can't leave it alone, lol. Golden Virginia is my favourite up to now.

Been on the e-cig since April 22nd and feel quite proud of myself seeing as I thought I'd never stop. Didn't think much of the atomizers though, and went through 4 in 6 weeks. Didn't feel like I was getting a "hit" off them somehow. One minute they worked, next they didn't and I found it frustrating. I changed to an Ismoka cartomizer last week for £14.99 which includes 3 coils. 1 x 1.8ohms, 2.2ohms and 2.5ohms. They heat the liquid up from the bottom instead of the side. Each coil is supposed to last around 4 weeks like the atomizers are supposed to do and these are all you replace so should work out cheaper. The coil heads are £9.99 for a pack of 5(?) I think from the shop, although their website is dearer. Find these loads better and up to now have had no problems. The only thing is they burn the liquid faster than a normal atomizer, but at least you get a decent hit from them.

The shop (Smoke Electronic Cigarettes) is on Manchester Road, Droylsden, opposite Edge Lane tram stop.

I do that too pmsl, my brother noticed it about 3 months in he goes "you've never got that thing out of your mouth", told him, "better than smoking"...

I've tried those that you can unscrew and change the head on, and it leaked. "Must be tighter" I thought, so I screwed it on so tight that it killed a battery! It was good before that though, but they don't last as long either, where I get 3-4 weeks out of a normal clearo I only got a few days out of the replacement head. For a decent hit the best thing I've used is the variable voltage twist batteries, I paid £20 for a single battery and charliebigspuds has full VV kits with 2 batteries, charger and 2 clearos for £35, tap him up.

The ohm resistance of the coils doesn't matter so much when you can change the voltage of the battery. I use, with a normal 1.8ohm clearomiser, voltage about 4.1. Regular ego batteries are normally about 3.3V.

Clearos are about £3 each if you buy a few of them at the same time online (or off chaz). They do give up in the end though, when I first bought one the bloke in the shop said fill it with water, shake it up and it cleans it, still only lasted another few days though and you notice it when you put a new one on. I've got about 25 old ones at home!

I've been on ecigs for just a few months, haven't felt the need to upgrade yet, just happy to have found a way to kick the fags after 43yrs.

You 2 must have really been bitten by the bug, the jargon you use is beyond anything I can even begin to understand, it now feels like I'm just dipping my toe in the pool of a completely new vice, where will it end? Maybe I should go back to the fags, at least I knew what I was dealing with.

im amazed at the amount of tar that im still bringing up two months on, a mate told me this is from the tiny air passages within the lungs that are blocked, i should have saved it all and painted the fencing with it

I smoked for 14 years, half my life at the time I started using these. I had no idea at first either but I'll try and explain some of it.

ohm's are a measure of resistance. Lower means the electricity passes through easier, and heats the coil to a higher temperature. Lower in ecigs usually means a thinner wire for the coil. It can change the flavour of the vape and give more vapour.

A "clearo" is a clear tank that you fill with juice, I find them better and more convenient than other types of atomiser, plus they last most of the day.

VV is variable voltage. The higher voltage means the more power you are putting through the coil, which means more smoke and flavour.

A way of thinking about it is with lower resistance coils, you don't need high voltage batteries. With high or variable voltage batteries, normal coils, old coils or high resistance coils still give a good smoke.

ego = a brand or standard of ecigs with a certain type of screw. Probably the most popular, I've seen loads of people using them over the past few weeks and it's the type I use too.

Chaz = charliebigspuds
