Mrs Rep wants me to retire in a couple of years time when I'm 60. Bricking it to be honest, Im worried I will be bored, irrelevant, poor etc
Any of you lot done it and have advice?
Filling your day with things to do plus having a structure to your day is the main thing, it's piss easy to loz in bed until 2pm after drinking a litre of spirits till 4am.
If you are a member of a club take office such as Treasurer, Secretary, or Chairman. If you play golf get up early and do a round before dinner time.
Probably family commitments will keep you busy to a certain extent. Today me and the wife have looked after our 2 year grand son.
He arrived at 8am, so we've played games with him, done jigsaws, I've kicked a ball around with him for a while.
He had a nap for a hour, then his lunch. This afternoon we took him on a nature walk in the local park, which we made him walk round himself, 30 minutes on the swings, made his tea. He left at 5.30pm.
The wife was in bed an hour ago and I'm a nodding dog not far off myself although I am enjoying a nice single malt as a reward.
Moneywise well you'll know your own financial situation etc. I've found I have less income however more disposable income due to the mortgage being paid off.
