East Didsbury tram line Pubs

Gateway (wetherspoons) is a good place to start, it's about 3-5 mins walk from the east didsbury station. In Didsbury village I quite like the nelson mate.

There's nothing at Cornbrook or Firswood. I quite like the Tollgate right outside Trafford Bar. It's a nice pub, Banks'. Most people will probably say it's shit because it's near Old Trafford but it's ok in there when united aren't playing.

Nothing at St. Werburghs but if you get off at Chorlton, you've got The Bar right opposite which has a mammoth selection of beers and loads of other decent pubs within five minutes walk.

Other people have covered the ones up near the end of the line so I won't bother with that.

Start at the Spoons in Parrs Wood then jump on the met.

At Didsbury village it's probably worth doing a few pubs, I'd say Dog & Partridge, Spoons and Royal Oak.

At Burton Road you have the Metropolitan.

Can't help you with West Didsbury, I don't think there are any pubs there actually and not been to Chorlton in years.

There is the Green Finch at West Didsbury which used to be called the Four in Hand. Great beer garden.

Start at the Griffin on Didsbury Road which is 5 minutes walk from the East Didsbury tram stop. A Holts pub full of Blues.

It won't be sporting a very happy pub landlord though ..... the Tollgate was one of two pubs fined last week for showing football!

Bang goes that 'sky sports' sign !

Not tried the metro link extension yet but I know there's a few pubs in different directions around East Did station.

A few minutes down Didsbury Road is Heaton Mersey with The Dog and Partridge, Frog and Railway,The Griffin and a bit further The Crown.

If you're after a pub with food the best one is Cheshire Line, past the hotel on the road to Cheadle. The Gateway is your typical Wetherspoons food experience then last and least there's the Bell House.

You could always take the easy way and just hit Didsbury village.
