Eberechi Eze

They played 28 minutes a man up and he did nothing to unlock Arsenal...someone in his role would have been key to doing so...I'm not disputing that he's a talented player, but last night IMO he was just another guy on the pitch...nowhere close to being a sure thing at City...worth a look, sure, but at 85-90mil, no way, And I'm a guy who normally could not give 2 shits about transfer fees.
Wirtz did the square root of nothing versus Roma over two legs if we're basing players on small sample sizes.

He won a penalty that went uncalled. Created havoc. I thought he was excellent vs Arsenal when they went a man down. Not sure what game you were watching. Just another guy on the pitch?? He's the undisputed focal point for a solid prem team.

To be fair he looked the danger man who was going to unlock their defence. Arsenal had a packed defence. Even Mbappe, Messi, Lewandowski etc. fail to break such packed defences at times. He's obviously a talented footballer, we do need a creative midfielder.

Eze has never been on my radar but full trust in Pep & Txiki, they know what they're doing

Buzzing with this one, have followed his career since the start, shame no one wanted to listen to me when we could have signed him for two bags of cheese and onion and a can of lilt, although no doubt some on here would have said one bag was enough
Think you got it wrong mate that was the original price but when we came in with an offer they jerked the price up to pork scratchings and dandelion and burdock so we pulled out.

Would be a terrible signing. From Gundo to Eze. Depressing.
It's not like the club hasnn't got things massively wrong in the past - eg. Phillips and Lavia

Exciting times blues.

Bernie & Walker staying
Kova and Gvardiol in
Doku about to sign

All this and maybe another midfielder!

Treble last season.

In the process of building a strong robust physical team.

This is what a rebuild looks like. Pep ready to go once he gets his back sorted. Phil playing amazing in Kev’s absence.

What a time to be a blue. United also still shit is great.

Bring on another successful season.

LOL.

If you go back in this thread someone posted his numbers versus Gundogan's last year and they're almost identical. Eze doing it on a far worse side is arguably more impressive.

Eze is a similar signing to Grealish I think in terms of his age, profile and projected price tag.

Grealish was 25 when we bought him for £100m and he had done a similar numbers as far as I can see as Eze has.

Grealish has turned into a good player for us over the time he has been here and I have every faith that Eze would aswell if he signs for us.

Who would you sign then? And nobody has bid 90million for anybody yet. Barella aint leaving Italy and Wirtz isn't leaving Germany. Eze has all the qualities to be a brilliant player for City and if you can't see it then you don't have fucking eyes !
I'm taking issue with your dismissive approach to other opinions, specifically mine. If it makes you feel better telling anyone whose opinion differs from yours that they don't know the game from their arse than knock yourself out. But I'll be sure to tell you I know a fuck ton about the game, period.
Getting that out of the way, if City sign Eze, I'll back him to come good. I'm not saying he's not talented. I'm saying 90mil is way too much and I normally don't care much if at all about fees. Yesterday the word everywhere was that City were prepared to test the resolve of some clubs regarding elite midfielders by using the Rice money and adding a bit if necessary. Now this morning its use that money on Eze. I'm sorry but I don't consider him to be anywhere near an elite middie at this time. Hopefully if he does sign for us he becomes one or at least near to one...
