400!!! thought we were short of Doctors and Nurses, theres going to be some grumbling in hospital waiting rooms!Lancet Fluke said:blue underpants said:Didn't know NHS staff were going thought it was Forces personnel only, the consequences of a NHS person getting infected and being back on the wards eventually is frightening, but I suppose they will all be screened before that happens.....hopefullyLancet Fluke said:As far as I know the NHS staff who are going are volunteers the army staff going are under orders. I heard an interview with one of them who said she really wasn't happy at having to go but eventually was convinced that it was ok and there was little or no danger to her own health so now is ok with it. She certainly didn't sound like she had volunteered.
Apparently 400 NHS staff have volunteered to go over. As I said yesterday, the idea fof 400 NHS staff going over for a few weeks then coming back and being let loose in wards over here is terrifying. I suppose you have to trust those making the decisions to know what they are doing and to not be complacent at any point.
