A Spanish nurse has tested positive for Ebola in Madrid, scary

Caught it treating that old fucking priest that they flew back to Spain. They said there was little or no risk flying infected people in from Africa, well what a surprise they were talking bollocks.

Why do you refer to the priest like that? That's very dismissive.

Broadly speaking, I have little or no respect for those who choose to perpetuate organised religion.

The perfect storm for 50 or so wannabe terrorists to become intentionally infected and spread it throughout the world.

its not the kind of virus that's is going to strike panic to the population, yes its arrived in Spain but no mass panic with people clearing supermarket shelves, i think terrorists would aim for a more man made virus like a synthetic organism copy of the polio virus and of course it can be taylor made 'designed' in a lab to do what you want it to, spread this into the population and bang, only an air born virus would work for terrorism

But then they'd all get it too?

From what I've read/heard, it's only possible to catch of infected people who are showing symptoms or dead.

I'd suggest that if anyone is showing symptoms bad enought to excrete bodily fluids such as blood or vomit, they would not be in a position to walk around spreading it

It's mainly caught because the conditions the infected are living in are of poor quality and have poor h+s standards or at funerals when people kiss/touch the body

I'm not at all worried of a epidemic in this country or any country that is geared up to deal with any disease/virus

Yet the nurse in Madrid wearing a full bio suit caught it

According to her Union, the ppe was not up to the required standard and according to her employer safety protocol was not followed at some stage

One of those explanations is true. Either that or she ate some contaminated meat(unlikely) or the virus went through her ppe which is not possible if it's of the required standard

Didn't think it was relevant to inform her GP that in contact with those infected by the disease either (if she's that one)

I read she touched her face with the gloves she was wearing, sky news i think it was

Not telling her GP his her own fault(if that's the case), it's not a reflection on a countries ability to contain, cope and treat those effected
