don't like people having a say then, even poor people, strange

We elect MPs to have our say.

We didnt have a referendum on NHS reorganisation did we.

You cannot type that with a straight face surely, sometimes it is better to ponder for a while rather than post

I am actually totally against referenda on any subject. I think they are bad politics.

My personal view on it. Sorry you dont agree, but i dont like them. We have MPs we elect, we pay them to make our decisions for us. Government by referenda is just not feasible on any level.

Did anyone see this fact on the BBC:

In 2013/14, public spending per head in the UK as a whole was £8,936. In England, it was £8,678. In Scotland it was £10,275. In Wales it was £9,924 and in Northern Ireland it was £10,961.

How isn't this split equally per head..

Im not sure what benefit we get from these debates, I dont feel that my opinion of any of the parties has changed and instead I have come away feeling like all they do is squabble. I don't get the love in with Farage either, he strikes me as a total prick. The only thing that I can take from this debate is that there will be a hung parliament.

How is immigration not related to something housing ? or school classes increasing, . Your are right though it will get him votes because a lot of the british public agree with a lot of those views.

Because without it, those issues would still exist.

well yea they would, but they wouldn't be on the scale we have now.

Disagree again, mate. The housing bubble was always going to happen, particularly in London. Its a function of our being both, albeit self-perpetuating, good investment and the strength of the Lonodn economy. I also believe that foreign investment creates a tax shelter . School sizes, i think you'd probably be a bit surprised at how many of the net 300,000 this past year were kids, and also its testament to a considerable lack of investment for the past decade and a half. OUr education is pretty appalling compared ot other countries. As for the NHS, again, the only evidence I've seen from independent, academic research, points towards recent immigration being of people who, on the whole, are young, which in turn should mean less of a drain.

I mean its intuitive, no?

An individual who works PAYE, we should probably assume that, on average, they pay more in the system than they take out, right? So then a single unit increase should mean income moves in lock-step.

THe real issue is where the income is going.

Look at the wealth Scotland brings to the union it's a lot! Throughout history England has took more money the other countries deserve more investment especially in Wales which has plenty of communities left to rot.

Not feasible on every issue i agree but let's take europe and immigration as a topic as they are the same thing

labour europe mass immigration
libs europe mass immigration
greens europe mass immigration
snp europe mass immigration
plaid cymru europe mass immigration
tories fudge then big pr stunt for europe immigration
Ukip get out of europe

so if you are against uncontrolled immigration you have to vote UKIP even though you may think they are completely useless

we had a false say in the 70's i would like to vote lib dems but immigration is a sticking point, swaying from the libs to ukip is a bit of a stretch
