Labour minority is now favourite with every single bookie. Lab minority is 2.1/1, Con minority is 3.1/1.

For those interested, a Lab/Con coalition is 50/1.

Even though Miliband & the Lab party have ruled out a coalition with the Libs, a lot of this is down to Lab wanting to pick up the Lib vote and try and gain an overall majority. Highly unlikely Lab will get an overall majority (17.5/1), so the 8/1 (9.5/1 on exchanges) for a Lab/Lib coalition seems a bit overpriced to me.

I think Labour have surged ahead in most polls now.

But that can change in the next weeks.

I think Cameron's "I won't do a 3rd term" has basically made him seem quite arrogant and people want him out now for a change to see what Miliband can bring to the table. Ed has faced so much criticism from the British press I almost want him to win for him to stick it to them they don't decide who becomes PM the public do ! and Ed does believe in the working class and a fair system.
The written press used to have a very big influence on the election outcome, not sure they do now,i would think social media has taken over.Is it fair to say that the public seem more engaged in politics now?

I think so, like you said social media plays a big part and made it "cool" again especially for younger voters to contribute.

The fact it isn't predictable who's going to win is good for politics too to keep people interested now it is neck-and-neck between Labour and the Conservatives. So people feel every vote counts which will mean more discussions and campaigns.

Having been asked if he would seek a third term if he won the election, and him answering "no".

Can't understand how even the mindless, and there are a few, could call that arrogant.

Ps. Tories with a four point lead this morning in the ComRes poll for ITV.

Ed hasn't got a fucking clue about the working class, he's a millionaire Hampstead socialist and has never had any interaction with the 'working class' in his life. If you'd said Alan Johnson, you'd be right, plus Labour would by now have a massive lead if he had been leader.

I mentioned a few pages back about how Murdoch and his cronies pretty much destroyed any chance Kinnock had of being elected in 1987. Thankfully he has nowhere near the same influence anymore.

If Murdoch thought he could use one of his broadcast vehicles (SKY TV) to lampoon Miliband by asking embarrassing, personal questions, it appears to have backfired spectacularly. When staunch Tory voters are saying that the line of questioning was unreasonable, you know they've shot themselves in the foot.

By and large, we're a nation of people who don't like bullies. In the past Murdoch could get away with it as there was no social media. Back then he and his cohorts were the media, so could easily spoonfeed whatever bullshit they wanted to the masses.

In terms of politicians (and the parties themselves) there's a large number of the electorate who feel disenfranchised. However this doesn't mean we're ambivalent about politics. Which makes the issue of policies rather than personality even more important. Farage & Cameron are superior orators than Miliband. Apart from Miliband or someone close to him making a huge faux pas (which could easily happen) I don't see this election coming down to who can talk the talk.

Simples.
He could have answered that question by saying something along the lines ' Look, I haven't even thought about a third term, I'm totally focused on trying to win a second term at the moment'.
Sends out a different message don't you think. Language can be used in many different ways.
Yes a four point Tory lead today, that roughly translates to Lab And Tory having the same number of seats. It's getting interesting!

It's looking increasingly likely that we'll get a Red Ed government voted in for the next five years.
If and it's a huge IF he gets voted in, it will be crawling on the coat tails of the SNP whose sole aim will be to push the English public into derailing the Union.

He would most certainly not last anywhere near 5 years.

Can you only buy the Daily Mail in Qatar?
