Eden Hazard: Chelsea were frightened of city...

City tore into them, moved the ball quickly and, most importantly, ran the ball straight at (through?) them from deep, most notably Ya Ya but also notably Nasri and Milner as a prelude to "death by a thousand triangles" when we got to their box.

Ha! Excellent description.

Surprised he didn't tweet which paper would get his interview in some big build up.
Overrated player if ever there was one. He's good, but not as good as he thinks he is, nor as good as the build up he got prior to his move, so fuck him.

lol at the tweet comment..

suprise you don,t rate him tho..gone off the boil a little of late, prob due to his first experience of a heavy slog in the premier league etc, but at the start of the season, and pretty much up to xmas he was flying, and quite clearly one of the most accomplished players around. His dribbling skills, well taken goals and incredible number assists would have helped us retain the title.

There aren,t many players i see that i reckon would def. improve our squad, Hazard is one of them.

Not with our strikers, Silva has created around 90 chances in the PL this season but has only 7 assists according to the stats, a terrible chance conversion rate.

Absolutely.

From a Champions League and FA Cup winning team to a team battling for 4th place in the span of 1 year. i bet he really regrets his move now.

It was a strange first half ...... we appeared to be in the ascendency and might have scored on a number of occasions , but the Kompany clearance off the line was vital .... yet aside from that opportunity , Chelsea looked subdued in that first period.

Just as well we scored early second half through Aguero , because Chelsea came into it in that last 25 minutes , and it was always likely that they would .... they're a good side.

In big games like that you have to make your mark , and make the opposition fret ...... once we'd scored that second , they had to come forward that bit more , and always ran the risk of City scoring third , as Yaya might well have done.

I think that Chelsea probably had their worst fears confirmed as soon as the match kicked off. City tore into them, moved the ball quickly and, most importantly, ran the ball straight at (through?) them from deep, most notably Ya Ya but also notably Nasri and Milner as a prelude to "death by a thousand triangles" when we got to their box. Clichy set the tone in the first few minutes with a barnstorming run. I bet Chelsea were a sight more frightened after 10 minutes than they had been before the kick off. I don't think they showed us too much respect, so much as they had to cling on in the face of some scintillating football. Goals, however, do change games and when Ba scored they had no choice but to "go for it", Luis became virtually another central attacker and City had several clear breaks which we wasted. In the end it was Aguero and Tevez doing to Chelsea what they had done to United which won us the game.

'Death by a thousand triangles' - Brilliant

Whilst I did take particular joy in watching him walk up to collect his runners up medal in the Charity Shield, wondering if he had any doubts about his choice, things in football can change very quickly. Chelsea are Mourinho and a couple of signings away from winning the league again, or at least a domestic cup. He's a young lad in no rush. And if the chance came up to sign him today I'd hope the club would snap it up without a second thought, the kid is very good.

corrrect. i can,t agree with those who say he is over-rated-its been a pretty good initial season in the premiership, taking into account Merlins average 1st season here, and the time it takes most foreign players to adapt i,d say that Hazard will be bang on form next season.

He,s managed to stay in the team under two diff managers and throughout a topsy turvey season.playing under hostile fan protests..i,d say he,s done more than ok,and i hope we pick him up should he become available.
