People should really think before they post.

I'm almost totally convinced that players/management/journalists/agents/whoever look at forums like this to get information they may want/need.

He's 21 years old and never been under the stresses of a big move like this before! Some of the comments and things being said about him here are bizarre, not to mention that a lot of it could have come from his agent and not him!!!

You never know he could be reading this and this thread COULD be the reason he won't sign for us. I hope not, because it's the silent majority who don't feel the same way.

(As I said COULD, before I'm quoted as stating it as a fact.)

Apparently once he has agreed terms and passed a medical it's just a case of checking what we think on the BM transfer forum and making sure there are no pics of his mum on off topic and the deal is done.

If he signs for the rags then so be it. If we've got money to spend and want a top top player I would go all out with a big offer for Gotze. This guy is very very good and well worth the money.
Best young player around,superb.

They are quoting <a class="postlink" href="http://www.le10sport.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.le10sport.com</a>, who are "reputabtle and relaibale" sources apparently?

http://www.le10sport.com/football/france/ligue1/hazard-avantage-manchester-united-63059

At PL he will be a player who is "very good" and not "great". I think he has chosen rags because he will be their star in the team, he will play the no. 10 role and he if that report is true that he is taking a lesser salary so he can "look like its not about the money". I'm just CONFUSED to the rags strong links with Gaitan, Kagawa and the rest... where the hell is this money coming from? Or maybe rags have done nothing but bluff!

Honestly, just like a lot of our fellow Blues have said on this thread, if he's decisive and scared of how many opportunities he'll get to start at city, he does not deserve a place in our team, because for him its ALL ABOUT HIM and not the club. he doesn't want to write history, he wants to be the centre of attention and he'll get it at rag central. On the other hand it would have been amazing to see him play in the skyblue and I think after this whole saga, I have more respect for players like Nasri!

I think Fergie has given him a "project" to take down the blues and win him the title one more time before he leaves or something like that and he prefers that speech. I guess he doesn't know what we've been though for sooo many years by the rags and their gloating on us. He should watch the clips from around the UK and world where neutrals were cheering us when we won the title cos they HATED if rags won it so they could be arrogant and dickheads again.

I feel sorry for him a little cos once he has signed he will fall immediately under all their arrogant and cocky image, and he will realise what most of the country and other clubs think of united... hated!! rant over ... thanks! BTW who was our next target after Hazard ?

I'm very surprised at all the comments on this thread about how the rags could afford Kagawa or Hazard or Gaitan... but only the one. There is still a view that the rags can't afford to seriously invest.

I think you'll find that whenever the rags have been challenged for supremacy they have spent big-time to rectify it.

The rags business model is based totally on them being "the best". It's what sells the sponsorship deals, buys the merchandise all over the world, attracts the players.

If they became just another club, that business model would crumble within a couple of years. What self-respecting tourist or gloryhunter wants to support "just another club"?

They have to retain their position at the highest levels otherwise their current financial problems will seem miniscule in comparison should they ever fall behind City.

So I fully expect big bucks being spent this summer. Players will be sold, star names brought in. They can't afford to stand still. The much hyped "buying youngsters and developing them" will go out of the window this season I suspect.

Never underestimate the danger of a cornered animal...

Fully agree with you, Fergie knows he has to spend and tbh if he gets both Kagawa and Hazard they'll have a mind blowing attack next season.

agreed, except the rags are not cornered animals. a team facing relegation like Wigan are cornered animals, the rampage they went on in the last 8 games! rags are desperate not to lose their handle on Prem dominance to of all clubs, City. They WERE top dog in the Prem League... but they want to make last season a blip cos if they lose this next season in all competitions to us again, its pretty much nail in coffin time and they know this.

I was just curious with all the debts people are speaking of where the money from a FFP point of view is coming from?
