This transfer is so much like the Nasri deal it's untrue. All the british and french press had him nailed on for the Rags then bang he's having his medical with us and signs on the dotted line. We are the club that have courted him the most, we've invited him to the derby, we've shown him around the place and took him to view the property market around Manchester. Bobby has flown back from his holidays to get involved personally after already telling Hazard his plans for him and the club. We've done everything possible to show him the City way. Not only do we have some of the best players in the world on show, we also have the Title and Vincent Kompany who will all be contributing factors.

Instead of flapping we should sit back and let nature take its course, if he doesn't sign then he'll just have to watch in awe as we retain the title next season
We're the Champions with the best squad with or without hazard. Flapping doesn't come into it. We can afford to sit back and put our feet up watching the rest scramble around wondering what we are going to do. But the quality of our playing squad must put a few doubts into prospective targets minds, and when we heard from hazard that playing time is a big factor for him that suggests to me that Utd are big favourites to sign him. Probably why nearly all the whispers and French reports etc say Utd will sign him. they are just putting 2 and 2 together, rather than any inside knowledge.

-- Sat May 26, 2012 10:12 am --

Not if they sign Kagawa. They are looking for quality but at a low cost, Kagawa is the cheaper option.
Teams can play with two creative midfielders. We played with Nasri, Silva and Tevez when the season ended. If City try and sign a midfielder, the player is going to look at the team and wonder where he is going to play. That's not arrogance, that's a fact.

If Utd signed Kagawa, they could still accomodate Hazard

I think Mancini could be looking at the same kind of line-up for next season. With Hazard replacing TEVEZ.

I still think we will sell Tevez. Only reason i can see Tevez staying is that no1 is prepared to pay enough.
If Tevez and mancini have patched their relationship up, then we'd be mad to sell Tevez. Ideal foil for Aguero and son versatile

If his comment about wanting the no 10 shirt is true then who is leaving or moving shirt number

City = Dzeko
utd = Rooney
Chelsea = Mata
Arsenal = Rvp

Only Dzeko, maybe Mata seem like players who would switch numbers. Dzeko should be our number 9 anyway.

He's not looking to get the number 10 shirt ffs. he wants the role of a true number 10. in other words an attacking midfield or second striker. I really doubt the lad is that fickle minded to go to a club who has a vacant number 10. if that is the case he can f*ck off to derby county then. I hear their number 10 jersey is free next season.

Its not about switching a number, be stunned if City or the other clubs accomodated this and put peoples nose out - would be a bad bad way to start a new career at a new club and cause resentment - if it was Messi then i doubt there would be much of an issue but its a 21 year old kid who as of yet is unproven in any of the top leagues.

He is referring to the number 10 position i suspect rather than a specific number if indeed he wants a number 10 tell him where to go.

United can sign all the wingers and attackers they want but they will be beatable and not the best still. Simply their weakness is in central midfield where they lack pace, strength, height, quality and dominance. They want to win the league they address that they don't they won't. If they sign hazard then either they have 100m to spend, they are selling Rooney or fergie is losing his ability as manager

Surely you are all reading the "No 10" too literally. I read it as he wants to play the "No 10" position. I don't think he's too arsed what number he actually wears.

If If they land Hazard and that Dortmund bloke and with Vidic coming back next season they will be much much stronger

Rags are valued well in excess of 1 Billion with debts of 600 Million - why the fook this stupid persistent crap that the rags are skint and cant buy persists i dont know

We beat them with the narrowest of margins and they WILL be stronger than last season and we must also strengthen.

You do realise their "worth" has fuck all bearing on their ability to buy anything don't you?

I don't think Vidic will ever be the same player again. Same as with Ferdinand.

Hazard and Kagawa would potentially give them a great attack though, IF they gelled together, which is not guaranteed at all. It's all a big gamble & it's us who are forcing them to think about it.

Great isn't it ?
