Can someone please help me out here, why would he go to Chelsea? Fair play they won the chumps lge but in less that convincing fashion. They have no manager and an ageing squad, and finished 6th in the league. Is it really down to a starting place? I really can't work it out and I'm not being arrogant here.

The only thing that could attract him to Chelsea is that they are current European Champions and they are situated in London. If they had failed in the final there wouldn't of been any doubt that he would of come to City.

couldn't agree more, it's just a senseless move. What has stuck with me is his comments at the end of the season where a reporter asked him if it "Had been his best season?" He replied that "Stats wise, yes, but we (Lille) won the double last year, so that is my best season." So why oh why would you go to a club which has less chance of winning trophies for the sake go playing 5 more games a year?

so it seems no matter what the new manager may think of torres abramovich runs the show!
