An important clue has emerged which could mean that Manchester City have won the race to sign Eden Hazard, according to French daily Le Parisien.

The highly rated Belgian forward looks to be at the centre of a transfer battle between Roberto Mancini’s Citizens and their local rivals Manchester United.

Hazard is set to leave French champions Lille this summer in search of greener pastures, though his destination remains unknown for now.
But the fact that the French club are arranging for Manchester City to visit their new stadium, the Grand Stade Lille, for a friendly to mark the ground’s opening, has raised suspicions that the 21-year-old Hazard may be set for Eastlands.

A friendly visit is often confirmed as part of many transfer deals and a match against Manchester City in the summer would add an extra sum to any transfer concluded with the Citizens.
