Tbh mate I really couldn't give a fuck who leaves and who stays. If it takes you years to get over a player leaving then you should seriously think about getting a girlfriend.

You can't understand. This is incontestably the best player that has ever played in Lille. And it will most likely remain so for a long time.

You already forgot what it was like before. Our two last mercatos : we sold players for 10m and 24m the next year.
Meanwhile we recruited for 0€ and 14 millions, despite our title. Our historically most expensive transfer is Dimitri Payet for 10m euros.
Each year we are in deficit and must repay the loan for the new stadium and the high wages the club granted to convince our better players, Hazard mostly, to stay.
Our president Mr Seydoux already said than they will not spend more than half Hazard's fee to recruit new players.

PS : If in your mind you don't make the difference between the love for a a gf and the fascination for a player, sex must be really weird for you.
99% of City fans understand. We were in the 3rd division a fe wyears ago, and when we did have a very good player they would be sold.

You have the consolation that you will get a lot of money for Hazard and you can use this to replace him.

You don't know anything about Eden Hazard mate. It's useless to deny it, this quotation is a proof already.
I have watched Hazard grow up and develop for five years now, i have followed him since his first match with the pros, because as everyone else i spotted genius in him. And he is nothing like you describe him.

Although he started very young and was very soon put a lot of pression on him (by the fans and the press), he never changed his path, and always listen to the good people and followed the wise advice. He does not have a surdimensionate ego, and i am sure he will blend perfectly in whatever team he will choose. On the field and in the group.

He is not arrogant, he has never been. He just doesn't want to speak to the press until a certain deadline. That's his decision and he has been repeating this over and over since january but the press wouldn't listen.
They keep asking him, so every time he has to use hackneyed phrases and avoid the question.

You know why he will not reveal it yet ? Out of respect for us, his supporters since the beginning, to let us the time to recover from a grief that will take years to heal.
But you wouldn't care about that, would you ? You don't even see us, sitting on your millions

wow, thats a bit dramatic, is everyone connected to lille so dramatic ??

If you talk shit about Hazard when a Lille supporter is in the room then this is what your gonna get. @Lille he has made a name for himself and has been one of their greatest player. I would even go as far as saying that he's the best player that ever put on a Lille shirt. They worship him @ Lille and have absolutely no doubt he will succeed no matter what club he goes to.
Ask any Lille supporter what they think of Hazard and they'll all say the same "A genius" He made his debut @the age of 16. Won a starting spot @ the age of 17 and in those 4 seasons that he played he won the most talented player of the year twice in a row and won the best player of the year twice in a row aswell. He lead them to the titel (had been over 50 years) and cup. He topped it off this season by pulling Lille to a third place and CL football.(20 goals and 16 assists) involved in over over 50 % of all their goals.
This season he was the only player who stayed while the whole world thought he would leave. He extended his contract last season giving Lille a stronger bargaining position. He could have easily just said fuck you to all the fans and club and let his contract run out. (if he didn't sign a new extensionhe would have had only only 1 year left on his contract and could have gone on the cheap and ask for bigger wages but he didn't.

Also people saying he's being disrespectfull to his team. It's actually the opposite he's just being 100% honest with them. Put yourself in Lille supporters shoes. Would you prefere 1 of your players keeping you on a leash constantly saying i might stay, i might stay, i might stay and then @ the end go oh yeah i'm leaving. Hazard is already a legend @ Lille.

shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh - nobody has or will ever care about lille in this forum... only who we can snatch.

From February....

you do realize that when he said "this will happen soon" he was talking about signing with "a" club and not talking about signing with Tottenham.
yes I do realise that, my point is 3 months isn't really "soon"

That just appears to be his go to line "it will happen soon" and by that he means "as long as I can drag it out/get more money/keep my name in the papers"

And you do realise that he never said that like that right?
I dare you to find a credible French source with that in. The link with Tottenham was launched by the French press. Hazard, in a Belgian talkshow, was asked after this and said he didn't have any contact with Tottenham. The presenter asked if he'd be interested in joining Tottenham to which he responded that they have a good team with a good manager and play in a good league.

The next few days the press went haywire over this and made up all kind of quotes. I remember reading some English papers titled "Hazard prefers a move to Tottenham".
http://www.rtbf.be/sport/football/detail_eden-hazard-se-livre-dans-la-tribune?id=7565743
That's the original piece on him on which all subsequent news articles concerning Tottenham are based. At the end of the piece he clearly states that all of it are just rumours and he hasn't yet signed anything and that that's stuff for later he hopes. (His transfer in general, and not referencing to Tottenham)

I'd rather not sign him now. We want people with attitudes like Kompany not a prima donna
How about we do that thing where we let the manager who just took us to our first title in 44 years decide who he wants and who he doesn't?

Weird I know.

Prima donna: A very temperamental person with an inflated view of their own talent or importance.

How is Hazard a prima donna?

I was annoyed with the Chelsea quote, but there's nothing wrong with it. He's about to make the biggest move of his career, I can understand why he needs to "think."

Did Hazard really say that Chelsea winning the CL has made him think about moving there???

There have been some very strange responses on this thread tonight, and quite a few on here are behaving like spoilt brats,.......

You can't trust press stories and you can believe the ITK's on here as much as you like,...but this deal will happen when it happens..

Whoever he signs for will be getting a great player,..I hope it's City, because we need someone with pace AND skill at the club. Silva, Nasri and Hazard all vying for a starting place in the team will bring the best out of all three. We missed out on Sanchez last year and Di Maria the season before. Hopefully third time lucky.

If he goes elsewhere then so be it and good luck to him,...just not against us,..eh ?

He and his agent are playing the game of getting the best deal for him, that's the way it works. Scoring a hat-trick in your last game is some way to sign off at Lille as well !
