They're saying they won't punish Everton because they went out of their way to help Brazil in the olympics

This whole business makes you think… next time England have a tough home game maybe we should just ban half the opponents from turning up. That seems to be considered an acceptable basis for a sporting contest in Brazil.

It pretty clear the authorities should never have considered letting this game going ahead, banning the players now seems a poor attempt at distraction or saving face.

Won't he have to isolate for 10 days in a covid hotel anyway ? He visited a red list country, so they might not be punishing everton, but they'll get their player back later anyway.
