Liverpool play Leeds this weekend, both could potentially play Brazilian players and defy the ruling. Your scenario doesn't work there.
 
Well come October and November all PL clubs (and hopefully other European leagues) do exactly the same. Missing 1 or 2 club matches is really inconvenient for those clubs but it's much much worse for Brazil. No negotiation to try and solve this issue, just a refusal to release them.

The easiest solution for this would surely have been to just move the games to a country that isn't red listed, its not like Brazil aren't used to playing all over the globe. I suspect once more money would have prevented that obvious solution from happening.

Exactly.
Had the English players been released to play for Brazil they would have had to arrive 10 days early and quarantine - then play the game.and then quarantine for 10 days upon return.
It is bollocks and the PL should tell them to do one

Yes, FIFA should've addressed this potential problem last year when covid hit. Sheer incompetence to let it drift into this mess.
 
The fact that Richarlison is exempt as Everton allowed him to play in the Olympics shows how much of a petty, vindictive and short sighted move this is by the Brazilian fa. I hope we haven't heard the last of this.
 
Maybe we should go to the Kingpower and break in. Generally refuse to behave and have the match postponed, it gives us the once in a lifetime the chance to wear Zebra pants. We can cite precedence as seen on national tv at the Swamp. Even the football authorities could not ignore the similarity.
Wishful thinking I know but how many laws do they think can invoke to trap us?
