Well he could at least shout “C’MON BOYS” in the tunnel before the team comes out. He's not sure what it means yet that's why.
Nope can't grasp that yet either give him another ten or twenty years.Well he could at least shout “C’MON BOYS” in the tunnel before the team comes out.
Fucking Ederson pift.
What about gambling, surely Ederson likes a flutter?Nope can't grasp that yet either give him another ten or twenty years.
Yep probably kicks the roulette chips on to the required number. What about gambling, surely Ederson likes a flutter?
You took that seriously ?In your dreams, average ,at best, VERY average.
Ronald McDonald was a better keeper than McRae
Joe won the Golden Gloves four years out of five. He has a better career international clean sheet record than Neuer in a vastly inferior team. He has a better England clean sheet ratio than Seaman, Shilton, Clemence, Banks the lot. Those four played behind world class defences. Joe didn't. He has close to the best England shut-out record of all time. With Joe, the small number of errors were magnified out of all proportion. Made fewer errors than other GKs. Still young in GK years, he can come through the current dip in his career. In fact, at his age he should be in his prime.I get the feeling that Joe Hart is unfairly being airbrushed from recent history, mainly because of his sudden exit from the club due to the change in playing style under Guardiola. But Hart is our most successful keeper. He's won 2 league medals, 1 fa Cup and 2 league Cup medals and has also been England's nmbr 1 for the best part of 6 to 7 years. Its a shame his career has took a nosedive but, along with people like Kompany, Aguero and Silva; he should be remembered as a player who was part of the new dawn of this fantastic club.
Ederson though is a different keeper from Hart... Calm, commanding, confident and assured. I never get nervous when the ball gets to his feet because I know he will deal with it efficiently and he will distribute it with the coolest of touch to a teammate. His shot stopping and box presence are up there with best.
So, if you were asked to pick your team of the decade who would your keeper be?
A couple went in to Joe's left in a short space of time and the media started going on about a perceived weakness. No mention of the colossal number of vital saves down to his left.Slightly off-topic maybe, because I do think Hart gets in TOTD unless we win the Champions League this season, but...
I don't think there's any truth to the idea that Ederson is a weaker shot-stopper and don't think there's any reliable or meaningful evidence to back that up.
More likely, it comes from the media-enforced stereotype that ball-playing 'keepers are bad with their hands, popularised by bitter ex-pros like Peter Schmeichel who resist the change to their ex-profession and aggravated by the exploits of Claudio Bravo and Loris Karius. In fact, Ederson has shown on several occasions that he's easily capable of stunning saves Hart would be very proud of.
It seems to me that Hart let in as many, if not more, soft goals per season as Ederson has been doing. It's well known that Hart was poor low to his left side- Ederson has no such weakness. A club legend he may be but I think his shot-stopping superiority is primarily imagined as a result of nostalgia and amplified by a reluctance to admit he wasn't as good as we remember.
And that's only mentioning before he left us. If you look at the library of embarrassing mistakes Hart's made since joining Torino, any suggestion that he's more reliable with his hands than Ederson becomes laughable.
After all, how many times in the last few years have you seen us concede a goal and been sure Ederson should have done better? Forget the mistakes against Shaktar and Liverpool because they were misplaced passes that had nothing to do with shot-stopping. How many can you think of? Two? Three? Not many, that's for sure.
Ederson is a vastly underrated 'keeper- because he plays for us. If he had replaced De Gea at United in Summer 2017, with the Spaniard going to Real Madrid as was expected, the UK media narrative would be that Ederson was the better player.
I'd also like to point out that Ederson faces far fewer shots because we have one of the world's best defences now, not Demichelis, Lescott and co. Therefore Ederson will never have a Dortmund game or a Real Madrid game.
